"Dustbuster" Stapleton Phaser Kit

This kit has been sitting around for a few years. I had to design my own electronics (for reasons I won't go into). I finally finished it. I find prop sounds annoying, so mine just has lights. The bar graph works and it has "firing" action. I still need to film it to show all the electronics in action. Take a look and let me know what you think.

One minor detail you may want to look at. The brushed silver/aluminium vinyl trigger button spans the whole of the recess.
Other than that your replica looks great.

I can't explain it, but this has long been my favorite phaser of the era. Nicely done with the build, I'm also excited to see the video demo. One of these days I'll build mine...

Edit: what paints did you use?

mrwax I just used off the shelf Krylon paints. I'll have to check, but I think it was vintage grey.
