Is that a neoprene shoe? How hot is it? I started a pair in black. What I found was that it but joins really well with a zig-zag stitch. I didn't get around to putting in a cuff. Yeah, flip the shoes so the seam in inside and the HC soles look good on that.

And because you have had to sew around the laces, continue that up the cuff the way HC does just to complete the look. I think it looks very good.

Yes, it is much easy to make them this way : I spend like half of the time I normaly need to make a pair like this !
I had to make 2 part for these as I didn't find a larger fabric... but I'm good with that stich in the middle.
Maybe it would be a good thind to simulate the ribs by adding the same stiches on the sides...

Yep ! Neopren was my first idea to make the shoe on my first attempt but I've never find one that was not too thick. And I always thought that the Movie Shoe was made with neopren...

I happen to found these in small sheet so I need to join everyhing but that's not that bad to see some stiches here and there And the blue colour remind me of the photoshop I made so I made these !

This one is like 1.5mm thick and not that hot... But it makes the cuff fall... I think I need to double the anckle/heel part to make them more rigid.

you might have some luck putting a thin plastic sheet (like a document folder cover) in the upper - I did this with a small amount of plastic for my V2s and it helped the collars not be so floppy. Should have added more though.

Yep ! Neopren was my first idea to make the shoe on my first attempt but I've never find one that was not too thick. And I always thought that the Movie Shoe was made with neopren...

The local spotlight has pre-cut sheets of neoprene for about $25. Not the cheapest stuff, but easy to work. The stuff they have is 3mm, so self supports.

Yes, but plastic wouldn't breath. And as there is only one layer of fabric, it would be in direct contact with the skin, wich i don't want. I'll add a second layer on the next buildup

Yeah, neopren isn't something cheap :/ 3mm is too thick and will make you sweat as hell (+ your socks) i had some 2,5 mm surf shoes and when i wasn't in the water, well my feet got too hot...

I think I worked out the best way to glue the soles to the upper. I would need draw the sole parts onto a section of vegan and then paint a coat of the polyurethane I made my soles from. This stuff would bit into the suede side of the vegan leather. From there, I can bond it directly to the midsole using more PE.

These are still a work in progress, but thoughts please?

The first thing I did was to build up the bulge at the back to make them more rounded than the original V2 part. Then I added my letters and started back fill the seams so it looks like they are sculpted from one piece, not glued on. I then sanded the part off to take off the sharp edges of the letters that I have on mine own shoes.

I've also re-shaped the outer wing (the wing that holds the bubble) to closer match the original shoes.

Because the the product I am using has a 6+ hour cure time, I can only do a little bit at a time and why these are taking forever.

Notice I also worked the bubbles too.

They look good to me. The shape is really good !

I would dremel the letters edges to get a better "definition".
Then, I'll add some dots with clay or something to get the texture on the cup.

How hard would you make them ? I think these have to be pretty soft (almost like plastic or foam) so it won't hurt your feet and it could be glued easyly to the fabric.
I don't know if these are also glued to the soles ?

Anyway if I had the material to cast soles, I would do them too (maybe someday...)
