Thanks guys. I did manage to find the time to do a bit today.

The rear grips have been finished...

Triggers are in...

...and I got the first layer of acrylic dirt on it...looks a bit sh1t in the photos, but you get the idea. I'll do the next pass in grate polish - it has a more 'oily' look to it.

I'm going to weld up the parts for the Valkyrie pivot stand at the weekend.

yeah and we have to move the slider bar across to view it all , its such a pain ! lol
Weathering looks great so far , what ali paint are you using , do you maskol the "to be "weathered areas or scrape off the topcoat ? Lovin the colour as well :thumbsup

do you maskol the "to be "weathered areas or scrape off the topcoat ?

I'm assuming he uses masking fluid, which gives a great authentic look

I use a thickened liquid latex.

I've got the lower part of the stand made. I'll probably paint the bottom half the same as the gun. It has a threaded top so I can bolt an aluminium swivel to it, which I will build before the flip screen. This swivel will fit to the gun underside.

Excellent craftmanship! Seriously, that's a full jug of awesome sauce right there.

How you doing the feed linkage? I have a mini-gun that I just haven't gotten around to finishing that needs that too. I was thinking of just buying the real-deal but pricy.

Cheers. I'm going to do the feed linkage in a strong urethane rubber. I'll make 2 links as patterns, mould them, cast a load out in fastcast, remould and cast in rubber.

I won't have anything else to show for a while on this project, but here are a couple of shots of the gun from some other angles...

Inspiring work, Neil!

For the pivot mount, are you going to tension it somehow to hold the weight of the gun and give it some "feedback resistance" as it rotates/moves, or just allow it to swivel freely? I wonder if the weight of the barrels will always have it sag facing downward.
