Female WW2 Captain America [Pic Heavy]

Right, well it's all finished and done now.
I got to wear it for the first time at London Comic con this weekend and it received some really good comments.
I'll add some pictures soon when they've loaded :)

I didn't manage to get any good high res pictures of the costume.
Maybe next time if I wear it again to another con.
But here's some of the photo's that I managed to get.

Any opinions on how to improve it are welcome.
I'm hoping to have better shorts and a holster if I choose to wear it again

The only thing I would suggest is perhaps using a more vintage hairstyle with it? C:

Other than that, though, this looks MARVELOUS!

Yeah, I was going to go for 1940's/1950's big round curls, and get my fringe cut a bit shorter, but I just couldn't get it to work so I just curled my hair and hoped for the best.
Hopefully I'll be able to master vintage hair styles for next time :)

Victory rolllls! Everything could always use more victory rolls! /Everything/! <3

If you can victory roll, always victory roll. :O

I was going to do victory rolls! They're gorgeous.
But they would have been wasted on this as I had the helmet on the entire day so there would have been no point.
Victory rolls always look fantastic though I wish there was a way around it without me not being able to wear the helmet

I completely understand. ;A;
I do my hair up in victory rolls and all everyday, and if I try to wear a hat or something, they get smushed.

I'll definitely try and practice vintage style curls though. They looked fine when I left the hotel, but the heat really got to me and my hair paid the price.

I absolutely love the work you did on the shirt and hope you get a holster.
Also that is a great shield.

Please wear it again!!!!!! :love

Stumbled across a high def picture of the full cosplay on Tumblr.
Excuse the goofy face, I was super nervous going on stage.

Hoping to get round to painting my metal shield soon.

Not sure whether or not to go for another weathered sheild or a nice pretty untouched one.
The fact that it's made of metal would make it much easier to weather and it would look much more realistic. Hmm decisions decisions.

Great job on the shield and fantastic job on the costume!

As for the metal shield, if it were up to me, I'd do it up like it had been well traveled (as in, made a year long trip around the world in various trunks, car boots, vans, etc, but never saw any combat, and someone had found in in their attic after 60 years and sold it to you).
Ding up the pain on the edges, maybe wear the leather down where it's cracking and aged from being folded up funny all those years. You already have one that's "battle damaged", it'd be awesome to have a "USO promotional piece" along side the battle used one.

Again, great job!
