FADE IN: The Writing of Star Trek Insurrection

Anyone want to vounteer an executive summary with a handful of bullet points for the mildly interested? Yeah I'm lazy.

I actually liked Insurrection. It had some good plot elements, and a lot more potential than what ended up on screen.

If someone could send it my way, too, I'd appreciate it. :)

Just some random thoughts...

I was actually pleasanty surprised at how knowledgable Patrick Stewart comes across about the episodes and even his character. And he's not just concerned with the progression of his character, but with the other cast members as well. Brent Spiner just comes across as someone who has his own self-interests at heart.

For all the comments about not wanting this film to come across as another episode, they sure did come up short as that's exactly what it was. I think they had very lofty goals, but they just sort of got lost in translation perhaps.
