I thought that the TNG phasers and tricorders were painted with Krylon Dove Grey with a silver mist.

Stone or Dove gray. At some point Dove gray was discontinued and replaced with Stone. I don’t think there’s any discernible difference.

From what I understand, there were two formulations of Dove gray over the years, a cooler gray used during TNG and then Krylon changed it to a warmer color that was used in early DS9/VOY. Eventually they replaced Dove gray with two different colors: Stone gray was a match for the cooler formulation, and a color called Castle Rock matched the warmer formula.
