Update:

Prototype parts are finished. Will start assembling over the next 2 weeks. Please keep in mind that I will need to have a final count for those who are still committed. Will keep you posted regarding a cut off date but I am thinking end of March. Currently, we have 5. In the meanwhile, here are some photos of the parts. I will post some videos shortly.

Started disassembling the main receiver so I could attach the extended barrel. Also cut off the top handle grip with my bandsaw. The final photo illustrating how the parts look in relationship to each other. I need to clean up the weld joint inside of the extended barrel so the front barrel can seat properly within.

I’m in for a finished one if the bulk rate is accomplished. If not, depending on when funds are needed, I may be able to make the single, but can’t fully commit.

Payment Instructions Below

99% complete (Prop Store Version) Just need to install the Sling and the steel flat head screws on the rear stock (Jackal Parts) I appears that we do not have enough spots to place an order at the bulk rate option.

I will be officially closing the run down on March 31 at midnight. If you would like to officially be added to the run, I will require you to PM me your shipping address along with your PayPal email address. I will calculate the shipping cost including insurance and send out an invoice that will be need to be paid by the deadline (March 31 at midnight PST) in order for me to include your parts in the purchase order. In order for me to place an order, I am required to pay in full, therefore, I will require 100% for the purchase of your parts. The parts are estimated to take 30 days to complete, thus, you will receive your parts within your payment protection period.

The entire parts kit will cost

Total Cost of all of the parts needed in Kit form including the airsoft $1936.22 (Which includes all fees)

The invoice will also include the shipping cost from California, USA

If you would like me to build your kit and send you a finished ready to display prop, I will require an additional $300 to be paid prior to shipping your prop out to you. I will take detailed photos of the build process and keep you in the loop regarding the status via text message, email, or RPF messenger, whatever your preference.

For your reference here is a list of the parts included,

Parts Included in the Kit:

Double Bell AS M16a Main Body ($200) Can be deducted if you have an alternative solution for the main body.

So sorry man! Thought this was the convertible rifle. Can you remove me from this list? I'll be in for the convertible one for sure.

Updated photo and reminder that next Friday will be the final opportunity to be included in this run. This is a final call as I will not be returning to this build. Once I have mine added to my collection there will be no need for me to revisit this. So this is it.

And please, to avoid confusion, please, did I say please no more comments about any other variants. This is for the Return of the Jedi Rebel AR as seen being held by the Rebels on Endor and as outline in the thread title. If and I repeat, “If” I do any other future runs for any other type of prop, I will create a new thread.

Would it be possible to just get the T-stock on its own?
Cheers
Great question. I should have clariified that the individual parts can be ordered separately. Can you please clarify what you mean by T stock?

The buffer tube can be purchased directly from e-vike.

The stock plate and stock shroud designed from the jackal air rifle parts are machined separately creating the entire stock. The screws can be picked up at your local hardware store. If you only desire the tube it can be picked up here:

I haven't read the whole thread. From the last few posts, it looks like some people may be unaware about differences in dimensions.

• Real Steel - Slim body, slim magazine, no winding wheel under magazine, slim grip, mil-spec stock tube that installs with external threading.

• Air Rifle - Slim body (possibly), slim magazine (possibly), no winding wheel under magazine, slim grip (possibly).

• AEG - Wide body, wide magazine, winding wheel under magazine, wide grip, commercial stock tube that installs with internal screw.

• GBB - Slim body, slim magazine, no winding wheel under magazine, slim grip, mil-spec stock tube that installs with external threading.

Thanks for your input Retroneon. I am sure this will be very helpful for those interested in building one in the future. The run is officially closed at this point and all parts have been ordered as of April 1rst.

Personally, I have chosen to use the AEG by Double Bell and can confirm all parts that are made for this project are compatible with that model. The main reason for this decision was 1. This model does not have the forward assist that is so prevalent on other replicas. The forward assist is not visible on any screen accurate A280's. 2. Price Point. Considering the cost of the other metal parts needed to be machined, $200 was a good price to use for the base of this project.

For those of you who ordered, Airsofts have arrived and I have started with the modifications to get a jump start. Parts kits are expected to be completed this week.

I have one last kit available if anyone is interested. I am attempting to clean out the workshop so make me a reasonable offer and the kit is yours.
