Here are two of my two dozen or so hero saber pics compared to the eFX DUELING hero casting. Different sabers, but both I THINK originate from the same mold. Gino, can you say for sure?

Yes, definitely all the sabers I've seen appear to originate from the same mold.
All the same imperfections are in the exact same spots on all of them.

I am definitely looking forward to this saber :-D Question though....have I been going to the wrong eFX site lol? I know you guys haven't put this up on the site yet but it's so out of date and the archives don't really have much in them and yeah it just seems like there's a lack of company support for it. I'm somewhat new to all of this so if I'm missing some information and sound like a n00b and well that's because I sorta am haha

Bryan has stated that the eFX Legend Maul was cast from Ray Park's personal lightsaber prop.
Which just adds to it even more than just being one pulled from the archive.

I forgot to mention in the first post that the saber that we molded to create the EFX Legend is the screen-used saber used by Ray Park during the filming of Ep.1 and then gifted to him after filming had completed.
How cool is that?!!!


Here is a pic of that screen-used saber next to one of our prototypes.
As you can see with the exception of the emitter ends being suited for accepting dueling blades on the original, they are quite identical. :love

In fact, here are a couple shots of our prototypes/paint masters next to the original.
So you think you can tell which is the original and which ones are EFX?

That really is nice. The history behind it very cool too. The only thing the EFX is missing is the threaded rod sticking out the end....hint,hint. This IS the Legend line. It should be an exact replica. Either way i am going to try to get one.

OMG, I drove myself crazy trying to fill the pinholes between the emitter fins on a resin Maul saber I was working on a while back. :facepalm
