I really wish companies would post photos and information with the details ahead of the on sale time so people have time to look it over before committing to spend this much money on an item that could sell out quickly. There should not be any question what the "Additional Interchangeable Components for an Alternate Display Option. You will be able to Display the Lightsaber Either as it was Seen on Screen or how it is Displayed in its Current Archival Condition." statement means.
It sold out in under seven minutes.

I ordered it, but I don't think it makes sense to be expected to make a quick decision on a $949 item because it will sell out so fast. Let us see the photos before the ordering window opens.
I was thinking about placing an order, but completely forgot about the time! Just to add it’s the signature version that’s sold out. Limited is still available.
Yes, signature edition sold out within minutes. I got the email 15 minutes after it opened and it was gone. So I got the LE and will be happy with it.

I think they should have more detailed pics of the hilt before you decide to put down a non-refundable deposit...
At least now there's something purple inside the gold knob, not sure if this is accurate though.

I could be mistaken, as it's difficult to tell based on the pics Efx posted, but can anyone make out the asymmetry in the emitter shroud window cutouts? I'm not seeing that hallmark that AS and Dewy captured so well in their version. To me the Efx looks like it's either been idealized, or based on something other than the TPM hero as AS & Dewy theorized earlier.

It’s really hard to tell from the pictures we have, but it looks like they tried to accurately replicate the angled cuts that make up the emitter windows, but I’m not sure they included the asymmetries and uneven spaces of the emitter windows themselves. It looks like these cuts were formed using a 4+ axis machine which allows the part to rotate along its central axis while being cut, this is not correct and will result in something similar, but not the same as the hero. Again, this is all based on the limited photos we have so far.
That's funny, I was wondering if maybe they considered simplifying the construction methods a touch to make it easier/less costly to produce thereby 'idealizing' it a bit.
I wonder if they will follow this up with a stunt version like they did before. If they do, will they 3d print a cleaned-up scan and use that, or mold and cast this version? Either way, seems like a stunt version would be a smart choice to follow this up with.

these promo pics have a purple button vs the previous red one. So I'm guessing that will be one of the options, the others maybe emitter plates like you guys did for your sabers? On the other hand these promo pics have no weathering on the saber vs the sdcc sample....

The hilt on the official pictures from the website is much cleaner than what was shown at SDCC but on the closeup shot you can still see some weathering which is not how the prop would have been on screen.
Adding some higher quality pictures, weathering on the pommel can be seen.

I actually want to pre-order the LE one (Since, it is the only option available right now/it hasn't sold out yet). But, I am afraid that it will not meet my high expectation. Lol...Just like their Luke ROTJ one. Oh,man...that wide emitter is still gaving me nightmares sometimes. Hahahaha...The fit&feel on that lightsaber is also...I don't know...just feels "cheap" and "un-solid". The weight is also...meh.
This EFX Obi will be 100% constructed from aluminum? No resin at all?
I actually like the weathering look, because it is not too weathered.
