Dune (2021) Still Suit build

Awesome!! How expensive we talking on the neoprene?
Does every piece need to be made of the neoprene?

Also cant wait to see updates on your build. I mean the foam looks freaking fantastic and the way it is designed it looks like elastic bands could be added on the "cummerbund" sides where it might need some give.

updates on the under suite or the shoulders and hip and other hard armor parts?

i have made a very very small start..... i found these in my airsoft bin.....

Those gloves are pretty close! I believe the original Oakley ones (or knock off clones, wouldn't be surprised if they use those lol) were black or gray. I'm sure with weathering you could make those work though!

Thanks ! - I thought they had been identified as Oakley. They look like the factory pilot at $70. There are $15 knock offs that are close but I had these fingerless so I thought I might mold the knuckles for sets of the wristband cover part. I will need multiple sets

I was gonna see how tough they are to make out of metal :(

Some people identified this close match made of metal:

I’ll have to see if I can find a US source for us state side.

Yea, I noticed there’s something wrong with the download, I’ve already wrote an email to Thingiverse Admin. Right now try this one here:

You can download the files individually if that happens, usually it's just Download All that's 404ed.

Thanks for the info, I got it downloaded.

I got the whole thing, just busy printing a spiderman face shell first. Then I will print it and see if I can recreate out of aluminun.

So I thought I would share my build so far for the stillsuit. I'm going to be recreating it for Paul, but keep in mind my dress form is a Woman so things might fall a bit different. I'm also documenting a lot of it for my IG Reels (@carmenvalentina) and Tiktok (@carmenvestrada) for those who are interested. I patterned it all by hand along with my sister who is making her Jessica stillsuit at the same time. I made it all from EVA foam and foam caulking dowels (oh, also a Starbucks sleeve LOL). I used Kobracast by Worbla (a thermal plastic) to cover the abdomen piece and recreate that grid texture;

Thank you so much!! I will for sure, I'm really enjoying seeing everyones builds on here! Just ordered a good alternative to the Euro triangle buckle off Sewingsupplydepot.com, I hope the size is ok. It looks like a plastic version of the metal triangle closure;

I'm pretty sure the gloves were Oakley brand, they have leather in places in the film suits but all of the knockoffs I've found are nylon in those parts.

Yes! They've already been identified, but everyone and myself have been getting the cheaper knock-offs to save some $ lol

Amazing work! How thick is the EVA you just used? 4mm? 5mm?

So, quick and dirty 3d print.

Bit if you can get for 89cents ?!?!
