DRIVE (2011) Scorpion Satin Jacket

That Golden Closet jacket is not the same one Gosling is wearing in the stills they are showing. He seems to wear the same hero jacket in all the scenes where he is wearing the denim jacket only. While a production jacket, not sure what screen time this jacket saw unless it was worn in scenes under the scorpion jacket. Looks in great condition.

i really want to buy one of the original screen used jackets or full costume sets from Drive. ive seen a couple have sold in the last year but i missed them! can you please tell me who owns the one you got the measurements off so I can contact them about it? or at least contact them on my behalf and see if they would be willing to sell it?

thanks :)

Good news guys... someone managed to purchase one of the original jackets from the film and will be providing me with high resolution photos and measurements. This particular jacket didn't have the embroidered back, so that will still be based on the proposed design above. We should be able to replicate the rest of the details perfectly now.

That is a very nice jacket, and i don't mean the levi's!(which is also an awesome jacket) I seem to be seeing a few screen-used looking scorpion jackets on this thread recently. Any disclosure on where it came from? or if it is the real deal? anyway you are very lucky to have that jacket! I would give anything to get my hands on one of those.

Thank you. I pretty pumped bout it. As far I know I ended up getting connected with a guy who had an indirect connection with the film district and he had it so I had to have it as my own- he took what I had to offer... Nevertheless I'm not here to make any sort of ambiguous claims but as far as my belief and part if the story it was more than likely a prelim screening jacket. The scorpion is as phenomenal on this as it is on screen. I appreciate the love man! Cheers

Hey Drivr, really nice collection. Can I ask the model number on the label of the Levi's jacket.

I've been on the lookout for a "Drive" looking Levi's jacket, but have gone cross eyed. I get really confused searching especially as the colour on some photos distort the colour in real life. So I've struggled to find one I think is the same as on screen. Yours looks pretty good.

Hey kboy,
Do to be honest my jacket doesn't have a serial number on it unfortunately I can only make out like 3 numbers- that and the rest is completely faded... Sorry I can't help ya there. But I can definitely relate with you on finding the right color fit and style... This is by far the closest and the best one I've personally seen not that I'm disregarding other peoples gear but this jacket in comparison to the color of the acnes is almost near to perfect with the contrast as seen on screen. Nevertheless man it's a Big E and I got mine for dirt cheap online from an estate lot. Hope that helps man! I would honestly do side by side photo comparisons of acne max raws to the jacket you're lookin at. That's what I did anyways. I've gone through several jacket to find this one- good luck on the hunt man!

We'll done again. I'm in London and find that big E jackets are hard to come by here. As you say fit is another thing once you've found a good colour!

Hello, I've been reading this thread to get references as for sizes. I want to order the Steady version. I read that the size chart changed a few times I think and that even the current one isn't very accurate and the jackets are smaller than you might think. (Sorry If I'm writing bad but english isn't my native language, I'm spanish).
Well, I'm 6'26 (more or less 191cm) and about to 157 pounds (71kg). So I'm very tall but also slim… Should I get a Large? or maybe an XL? If I got a Large I'm worried of it could be a little short for me… for example if the sleeves are shorter than what the size chart says for a Large, it would be probably short for me…But I think it would fit me.
Would the XL be too flabby on me? I don't mind if it has a bit of loose, I usually wear clothes that way because I'm slim. I have jackets that are Large and others that are XL.
I hope that I haven't been very boring, thanks in advance! very awesome pictures here!

Well, I didn't know if I wanted to post about this or not, but I've remembered that the point of this site is to share our love of movie memorabilia.

In two weeks time, I will be receiving a custom tailored Drive jacket from Richard Lim himself! If you contact him through his blog, you can arrange to have one made. I paid $945 (including shipping) for it. Well worth it for THE jacket.

Features the correct wool detailing, no button snap on the collar, quilting over the scorpion, accurate loose embroidery, and more accurately colored satin and scorpion.

Picture is from his daughter's blog. I will post my own pictures when I receive it.

Then if it's an exact replica why is the quilting square? Either way man looks great!!! Not a bad price either!

I don't know, considering that jacket is sized for a girl, I assume it is because of the smaller proportions.

Either way, everything else is 100%.

Nice dude that's sweet- that makes a little more sense! These jackets are legit! Looks like steady has met its maker! Haha!

That Is awesome news for everyone here!!! I can't believe Richard Lim is doing that. I tried to get in contact with them before but with no luck. Guess he changed his mind. I will have to post pics of my jacket and the Levi's I just had tailored. Steady cant really compete with that, except for people that wont go for the $1000 price tag. Still not too bad for the real thing. Never thought I would see the day...

This looks outstanding.
Looking forward to pics of your jacket.
Be interesting to see if the quilting turns out to be the accurate diamond pattern.
