Tried to get some better pics....not sure they turned out much better. One of the collar and some better detail on the embroidery. View attachment 236699 View attachment 236700 View attachment 236701 View attachment 236702

Wow! The scorpion on that jacket looks dead on. And the material for the cuffs and collar looks perfect. I would almost say this jacket could have been made for the movie. Do you have any idea where your cousin found this jacket? I wouldn't mind having one of these myself. Could you take a picture of it in natural light? it might fix the problem with the color.

i have to say that looks better than magnoli's. the material on his jaket is very thin and easy to get ripped but yours look very nice

It's not from Magnoli - I saw a YouTube review that a member here put up, and there are a lot of differences between this one and the Magnoli one in the YouTube video. It has no Magnoli Clothiers tag, and no inside pockets as seen in the review.

Props to Magnoli though, his version looks better (and is without question crafted more finely) than the generic Steady version. Not to bash Steady - I mean, they did what they had to do - produce a mass market item at a relatively low cost. They did a pretty good job at that.

If I ever get firm details on the source of the one I have, I will gladly share the information. But very truthfully, it was a gift and the story behind or where it came from is as good as non-existent IMHO.

So it's official that you can't get the Stacy Adams Madison boot in Taupe? Grey looks decent enough. Anyone have a pair of taupe?

Yeah Taupe has been discontinued. I bought a pair of white Madison's and dyed them successfully. They came out great, I have been wearing them for a year really beating them up. Dying them does work though if you have to take that route.

Stacy Adams started a poll on their facebook to bring taupe back but no word on whether they have taken it seriously yet.

The still sell the shoe in Taupe, that's strange they would discontinue the boot. Oh well. Anyone have any items they are willing to trade? I have doubles on some things like sunglasses and driver's gloves. Might even have one or two other rare things I'd be willing to part with.

If you bring an item like that to this forum you better have some accurate details on where it came from, because I know a lot of people would pay good money for a jacket like that one. It's the most accurate Driver jacket I've seen. The stitching over the scorpion is accurate as is the material used on the collar and cuffs, more so than the Steady version, and the scorpion is more accurate (colour wise) than the Magnoli version. In my opinion, it could be a screen-used jacket. FYI, the jacket in the movie doesn't have inside pockets like the ones on Magnoli's version. So you'd better find out the deets on it.

Trust me I'm working on it. I'm as curious as anybody else to know firm details, but I'm not going to post rumours or conjectures and have people call me a liar or a troll when I'm being as truthful as I can on a public forum. I happen to agree with you, it was either screen used or at least connected to the production in some capacity. Can I prove it? No.

As far as what people would be willing to pay...as a new member to the forum I see a warning every time I visit the boards that I cannot sell or advertise anything.

I see where you're coming from, and I didn't mean to step on any toes...but I think it's my prerogative to post pics of a nice piece without having a full back story. When I learn more I will happily post the deets.

FYI for anyone planning on ordering a Steady jacket soon: I ordered size S last night, even though it said back-ordered 3 weeks they just got that size in this morning and already shipped it out to me. Steady is including brown driving gloves free with jacket purchases, but don't add them to your cart/order or they will charge you, they are automatically included with the jacket right now as a promotion.

Check the website. Look decent enough if you don't need quality and SA:
Mens Driver Gloves - Brown

Say WHAT??? Please post a pic of the gloves, just wanna see how they look!

Seen this watch in person the other day. Pretty close "in look" to the fake Patek, and a high quality watch too (it's a frickin Jaeger!) .
It's really gorgeous in real life. It's also very slim and super comfortable on the wrist.

Out of curiosity, what do you think a jacket like that would go for?

No idea, probably $200 online would be my best guess, although you might be able to get it for more.

And yeah, those gloves aren't accurate at all, but it's still a neat thing to include.
