yeah thats a bum deal for sure. I actually got the 8.5s then was like nah too big gave em to a friend in need... and i actually got another in a size 7.5 they fit like a glove. haha sizing is definitely crucial nevertheless consider downsizing "big time". I also went with the tans and dyed mine that burgundy carmel color. Identical, cant tell the difference. On another note Im pumped to see that new design on the scorpion- that was my only thing that was keeping me from rollin magnoli- hopefully its on-point!
can members post actual measurements taken off of their steady drive jackets? Im looking at either a small or medium and would love to see some measurements in this format
measurements (taken off of actual jacket laying flat)
Chest (pit to pit):
Sleeve Length (from shoulder seam down arm to end of knitted cuff):
Shoulder to shoulder seam to seam across back:
Back length (measured from the base of collar seam down back to end of hem):
OK here are the measurements for size Large (taken off of actual jacket laying flat)
Chest (pit to pit): 16"(approx. - the jacket is wider if you pull out on the side gussets). Add and two or three inches on both sides if you pull them out.
Sleeve Length (from shoulder seam down arm to end of knitted cuff): 26"
Shoulder to shoulder seam to seam across back: 17"
Back length (measured from the base of collar seam down back to end of hem): 25" (pulled straight - the jacket is true bomber style so it rides up on your waist).
Love this thread. Wish I found this a long time ago.
I just received the Gaspar gloves and have been wondering about shrinking them. But I have long fingers and a tiny wrist so the fingers fit great length-wise and it even fits around my knuckles pretty good. But I have some overlap with the button-clasp. Not sure if I should sell these and try to get another pair or just live with these. I actually intend to drive on the track with these so who knows maybe I'll end up keeping them.
I've been trying to source the Money 2 auburn tortoise. Price is a little high so I'm looking at alternatives. The only ones I've seen posted in this thread are the Persol 0649/0714 someone posted as well as the Tortoise Converse? I would like to know if there are any others.
I was in NYC yesterday doing thrift shop jumping and came across this belt. My ACNE jeans have gotten a bit tight as I started to hit the gym but I think I've gotten pretty close with the buckle. It's a very dark brown and has a short rounded end to the excess.
need some info from those who ordered from GASPAR gloves. I placed my order on the 6th of this month. Just wondering how long people had to typically wait and if the company sends out a notice when they ship the gloves out. Any help would be appreciated! ;-)
I got my gloves within 2 days. I figured why not spend a tiny bit more and have them arrive much quicker. I didn't get a notice of when they had shipped, but I wouldn't worry. Gaspar gloves is a great company. However when I got my gloves I was terrified because of how small they were. I had to stretch them out a bit and now they fit, pardon the pun, like a glove, exactly like in the film. Love them.
hmm. I opted for priority mail. Its been more than a week but they did say that some colors (Im assuming London tan) would take up to two weeks to be made.
well got my drive gaspar gloves in. Amazing quality as I expected however I need some help on the fit
I think they are too big. They fit tight not super tight. I have a tiny bit of room on the wrist snap and about a 1/4 of a inch on my pinky finger. Also the knuckle holes don't quite match up.
I ordered a 7.5 but im thinking about exchanging them for a 7 as it seems the best way to go is to get the gloves painfully tight and then have them stretch out naturally. Mine are brand new so I figure with wear they will stretch out and make the fit even more loose.
Has anyone got any pointers. I could post a pic I guess. Btw my hand measured a 7.5 on their size chart so that's what I ordered (well a tiny bit bigger than 7.5). Also has anyone had any experience dealing with an exchange? I read they charge a 15% stocking fee which I think sucks considering I paid retail then sales tax now a restocking fee which would put these gloves close to $200.
I bought some as well and mine are a little big. My finger lengths are all fine but my wrist is skinny so I have a lot of room on the wrist strap. I think I just have weirdly sized hands. Maybe I should have gotten one size smaller but I'm afraid they won't fit my fingers. I've been wondering about a way to shrink them.
It was a gift from my cousin - honestly not exactly sure where it came from. I think the gold coloring is due to my crappy camera and poor lighting in my bedroom - it is actually very much more ivory than it appears in these photos. I could take better ones I suppose.
