Hey guys, I JUST got in on the last run, got paid on Friday and ordered saturday, phew! I have ordered a size medium, I've spent the afternoon going back through the entire thread and I'm beginning to doubt my size choice. I'm 6ft 2in, 34 waist, 40 chest, slim to average build. I have 3 leather jackets that I measured against the size chart, every one of them was a medium. Reading about people getting their jackets and them being to snug, well, it concerns me. I don't expect to get in any head crushing elevator fights nor any car chases but I want it to be comfortable. My current jackets are slim fitting and thats my style, i kinda figure the jacket in the film is form fitting with that bit of give. Should I up my size to a large? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Technically you don't. I'm pretty sure I'm the guy you emailed and I'm telling you the guy who was selling it wouldn't budge. I gave him all the info that proved it was a fake but he still wouldn't sell. I asked where he got it he says it was inherited and he had no more info on it. That was last month I'm sure he ripped someone off for like 1k by now.

By the way, for UK guys, there's a nice pair of jeans similar to the cut and colour of the ACNE jeans in Primark at the moment, £10, I picked up a pair

I wear mine but it's so pristine, im looking forward to getting it slightly worn in and dirty i think it will look much better.

Not got mine yet but I'm itching to get it, plan on wearing it a lot, why not, I bought it for that reason yeah, I know what you mean, was watching the film the other night, noticed there was some bobbling on the shoulder of the jacket towards the end, i kinda like its worn lived in feel. I had mine done in a small size, so it would be really form hugging. I am looking forward to the bobbling and maybe taking some of the 'dazzle' out of the brand new jacket. Knowing me, it won't stay pristine for long!
I wear it quite a lot but generally more around strangers than friends, because friends don't really get it and I'm bored of 'what the **** is that jacket?' Plus it feels cooler when people see it and because they don't know you, they have to just wonder.

If you want to be able to wear a jean jacket underneath, go with large. I got a medium and with the jacket underneath it was too snug. Thus, I bought a large and with the jacket underneath it's perfect.

Does the large's shoulders look bigger too? I don't want this jacket looking like something from a 70s glam rock band thats all. I don't see me planning on wearing the levi's under it, usually i just wear tshirt and jacket

Been lurking this thread for a while, loads of great info here. I really like the jacket it looks so cool, but finding the right size on the steady jacket seems to be hit and miss based on height and weight and the slim fit of the jacket from what I've been reading. I'M 5'10 AND 120 pounds (yup very skinny), while the sizing of the XS 'should' be a better fit I might get a S so it isn't as short above the waist. If it's too big I'm thinking I can always wear the jean jacket underneath.
My ultimate goal is to have a costume ready for a convention in the UK in October. Another option I was contemplating was buying one of the knock off jackets from ebay and bloodying it up to resemble the jacket after the elevator scene. Obviously I wouldn't want to spend $160 on the Steady version and then cover it in fake blood. Only problem is so many eBay sellers use pictures of the steady jacket its hard to tell what you'll actually get. I know they're not going to be accurate but would still be helpful in me deciding if it's a viable option to do the bloodied up version to a fairly accurate degree. If anyone has any pictures of any of the ebay jackets by the way it sure would be appriciated.

It's so annoying going through the ebay jackets, each one only seems to do one aspect of the jacket right. Even though I want one to dirty up I still want it to be vaugly accurate. Some have silvery white satin but leave out the under arm sections of the jacket. Some have an accurately coloured scorpion but use pure white satin. I've questioned a load of sellers who use pictures of the steady jacket to see what theirs actualy looks like. Waiting on replies on those. Also many of the sellers look dodgy as hell because they've got 0 or only 1 feedback on their account.
Also I don't know if it's been mentioned but Grindstore sell a Drive hoodie with an accurate scorpion printed on the back if you don't want to go for the full on jacket. You can buy them from amazon, I've got one and it's pretty neat.
