DRIVE (2011) Scorpion Satin Jacket

there are some with the denim jacket under it, deff feel bulked up with both of them on, i know i would rip the sleeves right off the scorpion jacket if i bent over and crossed my arms..

There is area the on the top part of the shoulder (brown fabric) that need support. I think if you put there extra thread it would be fine.

im saying im a large in jackets, but after trying on that jacket i would be much more comfortable with a XL, which is hard to believe

So, the sizing was accurate, but too accurate?

Edit: as in, if you have a 38 to-the-chest, you should get a 41?

well the jacket looks small for L but it fits ok. Those jackets should be tight.
I think Sizing Chart was accurate. But to be honest I don't see any guy who's 5'10 - 6 wearing XS or S

Yes

Well, not all brands have the same sizing, and steady made available the actual measurements for their jacket. I am wondering from the people who actually measured themselves, how accurate the sizes were.

Edit: thanks corso.

I compared their small to a small jacket that I own and it seemed to match. Now, I'm worried I will have to exchange for a medium after seeing those pics.

yeah i would deff advise anyone, if you want to be comfortable go one size larger than your norm..i like my jackets snug, but not this snug....the part that bothers me is that the jacket is short, if i raise my hands the damn thing nearly goes up to my belly button..im sure an XL would be fine, i just want it to sit either on my belt line or right below it, not above it like the large does

It's really short in the film.

I think your fits you lower than mine. My sits on the belt or slightly above the belt but I think that how it should be. It fits Ryan Gosling like that too.

Well the XS is essentially equivalent to a medium jacket, based on the size charts of most Canadian stores. So being only about 5'8'' with 37 chest, I believe I'll be fine. But if I have to exchange for small then no big deal.

I think I will keep Steady. After all it doesn't look that bad. I wish the brown fabric was different but oh well. The stitching below the scorpion doesn't bother me at all.

yeah, corso, you talked me into it, im keeping the one i got, i might just switch out that brown material for something more durable. and the scorpion stitching is the bast part of the jacket. the fact that the quilt stitching is under it does not bother me at all.

Maybe your tailor can switch out the brown material.

I'm sure be can do it easily, He reconstructed my jackets, tailor them and did some other crazy things for my friend's coats and blazers.
I would have to find some good brown fabric :)

Woo, good luck!

Me, I think I'll just go with Magnoli. Pay the extra 190 for him to do it right. Plus, he can help me get the size perfect.

yeah the jacket is not that bad after all. When it comes to switch out that brown material look 3/4 down from the top of the shoulder. There is area that needs some major support, other than that it should be fine.
