My understanding is that everything for the movie suits was custom made.
Of course, some things were modeled after or inspired by existing items, but those particular pads you linked to don't really bear any resemblance to what was in the film.

I've had the leathers/gloves that go under the armour made up..(Elbow pads still to be added)....This is just the start....everything else is being custom made and should be ready Jan/Feb..

I know it's hard to wait, but the bluray comes out in just about a month. Hi-res screenshots (and therefore more accurate builds) will get a lot easier at that point.

I'd hate to see some talented people end up making props (or buying props) twice once better visual guides are available. Just my 2 cents.

(of course, I say that having already picked up a few things myself...)

I rode BMX for years in the 1980's. I'm almost postive the cylinder grenade is a BMX freestyle peg painted olive drab with a grenade top/pin added. I can't find the exact peg but this is similiar.

every thing is made from scratch, i was part of the uk team that made the hero suits first before they went to south africa. but what your finding here looks as if with a little tweaking, would make a good looking costume..... not sure if i can put any pics up here of the actual suit. but any questions, i would be glade to help out.
