It looks like Dragon just copied Finemolds 1/144 falcon.
why is this happening?
Or is it a case of no one at Lucasfilm knowing the model details well enough? Otherwise there's no way anyone at Lucasfilm should be okaying this stuff.
To be clear, Revell does not have the FM tooling. FM is injecting sprues for Revell to sell. So, theoretically, FM could inject plastic for anyone still and anyone could market a 72nd scale MF (although there may be licensing issues which limit who can sell FM-based plastic).More users have come up on other websites saying this is identical to the Finemolds kit, perhaps Dragon purchased the moulds off FM, the reason Revell only had the 1/72 kit. I wouldn't be too surprised to see "Made in Japan" printed on the sprue bags.
Is anybody else wondering how much this may cost? The similarly-sized FM Falcon is $83 on Dragon USA.
And the Amazon shipped price dipped last week and I almost bought one. Gotta check it occasionally.Ok..so no Dragon Falcon for me then...rather order a second Bandai for the stash!
cheers
