What a turd in comparison to the bandai. I wont be interested in this at all. It looks like the only way to get a falcon even close to being right is to start with the bandai. or just build one from scratch. geezus, did they even try to get some info on the falcon? the 32" isnt even featured in the force awakens. why did they end up with that.
Its put me off the idea of the 1/144 tie fighter now. I bet that is going to be all kinds of wrong

Between this and the Round 2 Galileo nonsense it's really depressing to see companies who have valuable sci-fi licenses have so little interest in actually putting out kits we'll be excited about. I'm thrilled we occasionally get home runs like R2's Eagle (superb work, guys!) but it seems like other times there's just this "oh, they're a bunch of nerds anyway - who cares" attitude. As far as Dragon's not-Falcon, how hard is it to do, like, ONE DAY of general research?! Hell, they could've just put the word out here or on HobbyTalk and there would be dozens of people volunteering their time and effort for free to help make the kit awesome.
Or is it a case of no one at Lucasfilm knowing the model details well enough? Otherwise there's no way anyone at Lucasfilm should be okaying this stuff.

If that's the case, someone at Lucasfilm is sober on the days the check Bandai's stuff and drunk off their *** when they check Dragon's.
More users have come up on other websites saying this is identical to the Finemolds kit, perhaps Dragon purchased the moulds off FM, the reason Revell only had the 1/72 kit. I wouldn't be too surprised to see "Made in Japan" printed on the sprue bags.
Is anybody else wondering how much this may cost? The similarly-sized FM Falcon is $83 on Dragon USA.

To be clear, Revell does not have the FM tooling. FM is injecting sprues for Revell to sell. So, theoretically, FM could inject plastic for anyone still and anyone could market a 72nd scale MF (although there may be licensing issues which limit who can sell FM-based plastic).

There are some differences between this new image & the FM kit (besides the dish),......the mandibles look fixed,....& the F1 Elf part look different

The dish & base are too large & details dont match
Unless Dragon are planning on giving this away free with a Happy Meal or inside a cereal box I'm not interested
