I’m not super happy with the how high the vest portion sits, how much of the arm shoulder bells aren’t showing and how long the sleeves are…so I started tearing it apart this morning.
1. Cut out one bead around the wrists in order to move the wrist collars up= 100% better, more comfortable easier to put on gloves. Still need to be glued back on for good though.
2. Removed the neck collar and pulled apart the shoulders on the back side of the vest, cut them 1/2inch shorter and folded the arm ends inward a 1/2inch and re-sewed them into place= 100% better fit, sits on my actual shoulders instead of in the air and the ends are now open enough to see the bells that I worked so darn hard on so people can now see my hard work lol.

3. Collar is now the wrong size/needs to be completely remade. I will post follow up pics once I have that complete.

Also finished off the gloves with the impact pads. Tried to see if they came off a pair of welding impact gloves but no luck. The kobalt brand found at Lowe’s was pretty close but not enough.
So I drew out some dimensions and a plan on how to tackle them.

Used 4mm for the larger pieces and 2mm for the thin middle section and to cover the top of the knuckle section.

Used puff paint for the lines on the thin bits and painted everything over with angelus black leather paint. In hindsight I wish I found something like a very dark flat grey to look more like rubber.

Glued on piece by piece with contact cement. If you do this while wearing the gloves wear tight rubber gloves under as the glue goes through the fabric quite a bit.

Mostly done fixing the jacket. Completely remade the collar and it’s so much better. When I try it on even know I can see my neck again.

I’ll can this next pic the Before, and hopefully some time tonight after work I’ll finish the collar and post an After.

And the after!

I’m much happier now, not sure how visible it is but everything bits so much better around the shoulders and collar.
Now back to the pack.

Excellent progress. Something that I cannot tell from source material and from your photos, is the neck ring a circle or an oval. I've yet to see an image that looks down from above. Thanks.

Looks like a circle on the will suit I saw at NYCC so that’s basically what I made.

Work on this suit went back to spotty but is still happening. Worked out how to go about making a helmet and have just to that. Currently working on the lighting effects and making them removable with magnets so things can be changed down the line as I want that option. Used “warm white” leds as the color is better than yellow “amber” leds that I have, personally think they look better. Helmet attaches with magnets and has a metal ring built into the foam to help hold its shape so it can be removed and put back on without issue. Cooling system pulls air from between H.U.T and pack which is then ducted up into the helmet. During wear only one fan will be used at a time. And fan noise is more insulated when worn so that’s not as much of an issue as it is in video. Planning to use some roll over vaca time from work to just focus on finishing this suit with in the next few months but only time will tell if that can happen. Will be back soon and thanks for still following or recently discovering.

Yeah, got some pics of the snoopy cap and other parts for better reference. Tried to get the Don patches but my max has been outbid days ago. Took screencaps if I can ever have them made.

I’m a lurker on this thread. I wanted to say thanks for posting this. I didn’t realize there was a Lost in Space Auction going on.

Now I’ve got to see why I’m not receiving emails from Propstore - I have in the past. Probably my ISP’s aggressive junk mail filter.
