Hey, hey... this is a forum about costume building not photography :darnkids

It's the lens, rather, not the camera. 50mm prime with 1.4 fstop. The camera is a cannon T3i

Iphone Cam versus DSLR does indeed make a differnce! :)

50mm is great for throwing the BG out of focus like that. Such a nice look and unique to see in build photos.

Man, this helmet is awesome. So impressive. Always loved the MGS cyborg ninja.
I agree with El Fett, this your helmet would look great with a dye sub.

It's the Lycra costumes people make using a printed pattern. Like nearly all spiderman/batman costumes you see on here.

Ah! I don't think I'm nearly in enough good shape to pull it off. Besides, I already built the torso and shoulders, and have invested in additional foam mats, so there's no going back now!

Hey man once you get the helmet functioning the way you want I'd love to see a youtube vid of it in action.

You should totally try make one and send it off to Kojima... not sure how you'd get it to him though
