It looks like it is coming together very well.
The only thing that bothers be is how plan and flat the shoulder blade plates look. If there was a way to add some dimension to them it would really help.

So far this looks like it is going to be a contender for my favorite V1 Grey Fox cosplay.

Yea, that's bothering me a bit as well. What do you suggest? The reference pictures show flat shoulder blades as well (see page 2 or 3, I don't remember which). I can perhaps route some holes or some slots maybe.

So which is your favorite v1 fox cosplay?

Comparing the two shots to each other, it looks like the plates on yours are maybe just a little too big. If you sized them down by a quarter or a third they might fit in a little better. Also, in that screenshot it looks as if they are jutting out rather than placed on top. Almost like a part of the armor meant to accomodate shoulder blade movement rather than just a piece of armor on top.

I think I'll trim about an inch off the outside 3 edges.

Yeah I think they are too large and they aren't curved at all. If they were just a bit smaller and curved to form around your body better then I think they would look loads better. Right now it just looks like you cut them out and stuck them on.

Besides that the costume looks phenomenal!

Oh gawd, this makes me want to do a bajillion crunches to get into shape so that I can do my own Grey Fox.

I'd pitch in my own $.02 about the shoulderblades, but it seems like you've got it handled.

I feel like the shoulderblades may generally look better once the rest of the arm armour is done. Sometimes aspects of things look worse simply because other related stuff is incomplete.

Registered just to watch this thread. I was looking through the images saying "Hey that looks pretty neat." But then I saw the videos. This is a truly incredible piece.

This is very true. It might even be worth it to move on to the next part and then come back to the shoulder blades and see what you think of them then. You can always trim them down later.

Yes, this is always true... although... I think it still might look a little off.

I dont know why you are all arguing over this still... I cut those shoulder blades te same day it was brought up... No big deal :D it looks much netter now.
I did te cod piece yesterday, and I think it came out great :p I'll post pictures tonight after it's painted. Now onto the legs! 11 days before con time!!!!!!! OMGOMG!!!
