Dewy and Anakin Starkiller's Accurate Qui-Gon Jinn Lightsaber Design

Hard to believe it's been almost 3 years since I first started this thread. Now that the final product is in hand, I want to thank everyone who took part in this run! In particular I want to thank BRRogers, during the design phase he gave us some feedback related to the intricacies of the pommel that really helped out.

I of course also want to express my extreme gratitude to Anakin Starkiller for all of his hard work. This project was a real struggle, and at times fabrication obstacles seemed seriously insurmountable. Starkiller's pursuit of accuracy, knowledge of fabrication methods, and relationship with suppliers are what made this run possible. I am so incredibly happy with how these sabers turned out. Short of having the hero prop in my hands for reference, I really don't know how we could get any more accurate.

There are so many little nuances to this saber. I'm sure the machine shop thought our 3D model was filled with mistakes. I hate to post accuracy claims without being able to back them up, but some of these details just aren't super obvious in publicly available references.

Here are a few details that I hope everyone can appreciate:

I love how we all go nutz over imperfections.

You guys did an amazing job. Congrats.

It is with absolute pride and joy to have these sabers in my collection. You are all amazing, bringing something to life that we imagined as kids, obsessing over these sabers, and staring at the visual dictionary so many times wishing I could have Obi-Wan's hilt, Master Qui Gon's, Maul's etc.... these are incredible. Thank you, to you and Anakin Starkiller for your perseverance on this project. A "Master" piece no doubt

Seeing them all together again makes me think that the whole “Ewan chooses his saber” bit might have just been done for the sake of publicity. Because the Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan sabers are the clear standouts of the batch.
Agreed, even if Liam Neeson and Samuel Lee Jackson told similar stories back then: Georges Lucas coming to them with a huge box full of lightsaber props, asking them to pick one up.
This might be how Liam Neeson got the Qui Gon stunt he owns though.
