Denuo Novo (only) New and existing products

That is what I would expect too. It's odd that the one in the single photo on the DN site looks so much different than the one that was at Celebration. I don't think there is any way to know if either of these are close to what the production samples will be since they haven't said much. However I don't have much confidence in their ability to produce a good looking heavily weathered helmet. The x-wing helmets have decent weathering, but the weathering is much simpler than the Bo helmet.

That's kind of sad since Hasbro actually didn't do a horrible job on the Bo Katan helmet deco and it is mass produced. It's one of their better looking helmets.

My April 6 order for the Praetorian Guard helmet finally shipped from Texas. Kind of odd it takes nearly 3 weeks to ship an in stock item. Had to find the tracking number in my UPS My Choice account since they did not provide it. I'm still waiting for the Rey staff to ship. Customer Service told me they're fulfilling pre-orders and Anovos orders first.

Yeah. They're not great on sending out shipping notice.

At least it's coming and three weeks is not terrible, especially after a big convention. I understand being anxious though.

I have a Death Trooper pre-order and according to their webpage it could happen now through June.

I just got the shipping notice for the additional FOTK limb sets I ordered during their Celebration sale. I'm guessing it's taken them a minute to process things from all that.

May the 4th sale is up a week early. It requires a promo code instead of it being automatic this time.

Got the Praetorian Guard helmet today.

Do all DN helmet only come with 3 pieces of padding? It's not enough to position them to make the helmet fit securely. My Luke helmet also only came with 3. Anovos helmets came with about 8 pads, so I don't know if that's the norm now.

There are few spots of minor paint imperfections. They're mostly small, except for a 2 inch long area on the back of the helmet. It's really hard to capture on camera depending on how the light hits it.

My helmet has some weird white powder or residue along some edges and inside a lot of the grooves. It's easy to rub and wipe off on the easy to reach areas, but I'll need a toothpick or compressed air for the thin grooves. It almost looks like it's unpainted inside the grooves of the faceplate.

I've always loved the design of the helmet. Man is it hard to see out of though with the way the dome obscures part of your vision. Padding the top of the head will help. It would also help if they had cut out the accurate number of visor slits.

Synz314- You should definitely contact DN. That one area is pretty bad. As far as he cracks, you could try flushing it with some distilled water to see if it comes out. But in any case, that blemish in the back is enough for me to want a replacement. Good luck!

That looks a lot to me like they had a rough clear coat so they tried to quickly polish it out. I’d assume that white powdery stuff in the grooves is the dried polish. Dip a tooth brush in some water and you’ll be able to scrub it out of the grooves.

What email address does the code come from? I have tried to get the code, but have not received an email in my inbox or spam.

I think you're right. I'll give that a shot. I considered requesting a replacement, but if it can all be cleaned up it's not worth the shipping fees.

You shouldn't pay shipping fees on a flaw that is their fault. Unless maybe you're not in the states.
I agree. But their terms of service aren't the most generous when it comes to returns. I estimate it would be $80 total ($30 from me to ship to Texas per PirateShip + Denuo's standard $50 shipping rate). It almost defeats having gotten it on sale.

I bet you could fight that. I just have a hard time believing they could make the customer responsible for the shipping if it were their fault. If that were the case, they could ship out broken items intentionally. Not sure about all banks, but Paypal requires that you receive what was described. Technically, you could also fight it on the fact that it included free shipping in the sale.

This now has me worried about the Death Trooper as it's a glossy helmet too. My two Imperial Royal Guards were flawless, so there's hope.

Bare minimum, I would still contact them as I do believe they want to do what's right from my little experience dealing with them. You never know, but they may offer a small reimbursement to save both sides on shipping and cost of a replacement item.

The Death Trooper appears to be made overseas. The Praetorian Guard is made in the US. I don't think any conclusions can be made about the Death Trooper based on one of the US helmets. Even the overseas helmets may not all be made in the same factory.

QC really needs some work. But at LEAST you got product!

You can get padding kits for paintball/airsoft helmets for not a lot. I've got some motorcycle helmet liners that work great with OTTK and FOTK buckets. Should the manufacturer provide good wearability materials? Yes. I'm just used to always needing to do end-user work to get whatever to the state I want it -- fan-made, 3D printed, Hasbro, Anovos, Denuo Novo, Master Replicas... Whomever. They've always been good raw material to me, that I always expect I'm going to need to do something. Even for $600 fiberglass collectibles.

The tracking on my FOTK armor parts kits show they're due, ironically, on the 4th. I'm hoping I get an e-mail from them before then. I'd like to take advantage of that discount...

I just received an email from DN with a code. I had signed up for it last Friday.

Oh and it ended up going to my spam folder.
