Denuo Novo (only) New and existing products

It was decent, not that good. There are better fanmade options available. The dome was super thick and had a gloss finish inside, instead of the accurate matted fiberglass. It's an ESB helmet but they lazily added a couple of ROTJ reveal greeblies to the forehead.

I have the Anovos Vader... it's a nice "hybrid" of an ESB and ROTJ, IMO and can go on either costume. It's still the nicest (non-ANH) licensed helmet made, and it was a STEAL when it originally came out for pre-order. I think around $350 or so? Considering the Don Post fiberglass Deluxe ESB Vader was selling for $1,000 in 1995! And the Don Post had the reversed face paint scheme.

The best VALUE IMO was the PCR ANH Vader. That thing is gorgeous and I'm glad I snagged one.

There are more accurate ESB/ROTJ Vader buckets here at TheRPF, but a fully finished/painted one is still a labor of love and $$$

Got the extra set of torso and right leg armor for my FOTK, so those are shipping now. Good compensation for the helmet. :) Now I just need to get a few more arm and leg sets. *lol* They already are doing something differently. When the parts kits went up for pre-order, the chest (outer and inner chest and backplate, plus chest greeblies) was one listing (the one I ordered) for a hundred bucks. The torso kit (ab and kidney, cod and butt, center-back, and the resin ab boxes) was a separate listing. I was gonna maybe order one later. Welp. The big box that I got had all of that. I need to sift through the approximately 127 billion packing peanuts to see if there's a thermal detonator in there.

I spent a bit this afternoon marking where things are going to be cut to fit inside the pieces I already have. Special bonus of this laminated approach is that, since I'm not doing the overlapping velcroed seams at the shoulder where chest and back come together, as their instructions show to do, but work to replicate the one-piece moulding of the film assets, I can skew one seam as far back as I can and one as far forward. They'll have over an inch of offset, so that should help spread any torsional stresses and keep at least the visible outer one from cracking. I'm looking forward to getting to work on this properly now.

I passed on this when Anovos put it out for obvious reasons. I would love to take advantage of it this time around. Have to wait and see.

STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE CASSIAN ANDOR JACKET (PRE-ORDER)

$300

Expected in stock Q3 (July-September) 2023

I have an Anovos preorder for the Rey staff.

Please give your opinions once you receive it. It's a very different product from what you originally ordered. Anovos offered more of a fiberglass kit. This is a finished product and not fiberglass.

The Anovos staff wasn't a kit. ANOVOS Rey Quarterstaff Accessory

I haven't been able to find anything that says what material Anovos planned to use, but it was planned as a finished staff that could be separated into smaller pieces for easier storage and transport. I think the Denuo Novo staff is pretty much what Anovos announced.

I really want to get it but I'm not too sure of what the material is like. It says it's a dense "combat foam" with "durable skin". I'm assuming by "combat" they mean "cosplay" aka EVA foam. No idea what the skin is.

Not sure how durable it could be for cosplayers if it's just foam without any sort of rod running through the center for reinforcement. It could warp or bend over time. I just plan on displaying it vertically.

Review of the DN Sandtrooper helmet. It appears to be pretty much like the Anovos. I never owned the Anovos sandtrooper, but this looks very similar to the photos I have seen.

I could've sworn when I ordered this way back for my wife that it was unfinished and would require her to assemble and paint it.

I ordered back in 12/2017, so maybe something changed along the way.

My thoughts as well. That's why I want an unbiased review from someone here once they receive it.

I ordered my Rey staff in January 2018. I don't remember the staff ever being a kit that needed to be finished.

I assume the foam will be pretty rigid on the staff. Hopefully it is rigid enough to stay straight. I don't see anything that indicates if it will have a metal rod in the middle or not. The instructions say it screws together and shows a much smaller diameter pin. I would think this part would be metal.

The two blasters Anovos had listed were kits and needed to be painted unless you want an orange blaster.
