Denuo Novo (only) New and existing products

I got a mega melon 25" head. Yeah, my abnormally large body part is my skull. Sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway I don't mind them being made a bit bigger as I have the big noggin, but make it accurate,...Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would you mind measuring the bottom opening of the helmet? Both the depth front to back from the visor and the width at the widest point (not including the ears). I'm really curious just how oversized it is so I can compare

Yes...and like you said same with the Mandohelmet. And when I remember right its the same with other helmets like X-Wing pilots.
Thats why I think Anovos/DN are not really replicas...they are costumehelmets with a lineage(3D scan).;)
Oh yeah the X wing helmets are bad. I had the Luke one and I hated how wide it was. The problem is they used modified Rogue One helmets as the basis for them. They are MUCH wider than OT X wing helmets. The Denuo Novo X wing helmet is fine only if it is for one of the Rogue One pilots.

I was just commenting on the remark about it being oversized. I have not received mine yet.

I have one of Wasted Fett's helmets and that one fits my 24.5" really well. That on is cast from a production made cast. It seems unnecessary to have to scale it up. It's smaller than Boba but not tremendously so. Less wide for sure.

You should be able to fix the visor if you remove and trim the sides of lens. Pinching the visor while you glue the lens back on will make it narrower. It does look way too wide on the Denuo Novo. Although it'll still be too wide if the helmet was scaled up, at least it'll be more proportionate.

I was discussing with Gabe over Facebook all the differences between the Jango and Boba sculpt after he said they looked identical in the video. It's such a huge pet peeve of mine whenever someone claims they are the same sculpt.

But it is the exact same helmet and sculpt,....Just kidding. I think they are close but as far as I can see there is less "flare" on Jango's.

I will probably just stick with my Bobamaker. I don't want to mod a $700 helmet.

Can you post pics of your helmet?

Here is Wasted's next to an EFX Boba. I've since replaced the EFX with a MinuteFett helmet but haven't done a side-by-side with Jango.

Dang that is sweet. As much as I love Bobamaker yours is better. Wish I had gotten this version.

Thanks for the pics

What was wrong with the EFX version? Right now I have the Sideshow life-size Boba Fett statue, the Sideshow life-size Boba Fett bust (first version), the Master Replicas Boba Fett helmet and the Hasbro Boba Fett helmet and the problem is that all of them are ESB. I need a good ROTJ version. I actually prefer Boba's look in ROTJ over ESB.

I really liked the EFX. It's an insanely good value for $380. But overtime it bothered me that it was injected molded ABS instead of fiberglass like the screen used helmet. The few seamlines and stress marks of the PCR helmets are enough to make me choose fiberglass versions. I wanted something that was hand painted as well.

Also how the upper right ear is shorter than it should be. It's only one piece instead of two pieces. That's the most glaring inaccuracy in my opinion. Even though the helmet retains most of the wonkiness and identifiable details of the screen used helmet, it is still more idealized.

Oh! Good to know. I actually tend to prefer idealized over screen accurate wonkiness. I may need to consider it. Thanks!

So the Denuo Jango helmet was definitely scaled up? I know that is a problem I had with the Anovos Din helmet being too big.

Cal's original sculpt was based off an APH-6B flight helmet of the size used to make the ANH bucks, plus close study of a Don Post Deluxe Luke helmet (that never went to market). He felt it was pretty darn accurate, without measuring an original-production helmet from the Archives. The assets Anovos sent him from Lucasfilm to make the Rogue One helmets (and theirs) made for one that was incrementally larger. And by incrementally, I mean the front opening is 8" instead of 7-3/8" (at the upper corners of the visor housing -- less at the narrowest down by the face-mask clips, to the tune of a quarter-inch wider there). On a helmet that size, I don't know that constitutes "much" bigger...

Over half an inch difference is very noticeable in my opinion. There is no mistaking Cal's V1 and V2 sculpt for one another. I do consider this to be a huge difference. Without having to look at them side by side it is easy to tell which is which because of the 5/8" difference. Not only is it wider, but it is less tall as well.

Here is the RS helmet compared to the Denuo Novo. The Denuo Novo measurements match Cal's V2. The V1 is more accurate size for OT.

I know I am not supposed to link to a live eBay auction, BUT if you search there is a rather large online Toystore that has their new EFX BobaFett helmets for BUY-IT-NOW $325 plus shipping (eBay charges tax). Just got mine delivered this past week.

As of tonight, they still have 8 left.

I just got measurements from Gabe of the bottom opening depth and width of his Denuo Jango helmet. It is the same size as the Wasted Fett Jango.

8-3/4" wide by 10-1/4" deep on the Denuo Novo. It is a very thick fiberglass casting, so my Wasted Fett helmet is bigger inside since it is half as thick.

Found it. I'm seeing 10 available and what I am looking at shows free shipping and returns.

That is very tempting.

It is totally worth it, totally legit. It arrived package in a brown cardboard box, with the EFX box protected inside. Brand new, never opened. I couldn’t believe they were selling it for such a deal. EFX website still has them listed for $130.

I'm guessing you meant $430, because I am seeing it for $429. If they were $130, I'd be buying up a bunch of them and giving them to my kids for Christmas.

Sideshow has it currently priced at $400 and 10% off because of the Bestember promotion, so that brings it down to $360, but they're charging shipping. I was considering this since I have almost $600 in Sideshow rewards, but I also have my eye on something else, so I'm torn.

UPDATE: Actually, I just realized this is not a ROTJ version, but is another ESB version and I already have many of those, so I'm going to skip it. Plus even though it's screen accurate, the wonkiness doesn't work for me so much. The left cheek/visor area being raised higher really drives me a bit nuts.

UPDATE again: I just checked the Sideshow Life-size bust and it has the higher left side, but the Master Replicas helmet does not.

The EFX ESB Boba Fett PCR is totally worth it even at full price. I was pissed it was so much more than the other PCRs. Then I received it. Totally worth it and more. It is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Total Boba Fett freak and I could not be happier.

I love the RS version, etc., but I am not as concerned with lineage and there was some things, like the glued crack, I did not want on my helmet. Totally great, amazing helmet, but not one I needed.

The only way to get something better is to have a perfect cast off the original, and then have a master painter paint it in layers, blocking the damage between layers, and then writing a whopper of a check.

My opinion only of course, which as always is correct.

I do wish EFX would do the ROTJ version. They like to re-use and milk PCR molds, etc. so I assumed they would do it, but nothing so far.

Hasbro Boba Fett is also awesome. Really amazing how close it is when side by side with the EFX and for just over $100. Don't know why their Vader is so off when their X wing, Stormies, and Boba's are pretty awesome for the price.
