Deadpool 2:Cable

Has anyone got any good pictures and sizes of the mad bull 40mm grenade launcher. As I'm not going to be able to get to the USA to buy one myself this year as planned. I may as well make a 3D file for it.

Everything is looking AMAZING that you guys have been posting. dontfeedmyego your build is EPIC, and I can't wait to see the final product!

I haven't gotten around to making a *good mold of the PPQ yet, and am out of mold materials. As soon as the economy starts swinging back, and I am back to work, I will get the project finished and put up some pictures of everything.

What doesn't cost me a thing is pulling off my Madbull and snapping some pictures for triggerhappy (though I left my angled mounts in the rail unit, so you can ignore those unless you would like some measurements to add them as well)

Let me know if there are any other angles or measurements you need.

EDIT: I forgot to respond to the knife question from way back when. I don't know for certain what he used, but I found the closest replica I could to the limited screen time it gets in the movie. I will have to look if I have any info on where I bought it. I just glued the sheath into my battle belt, so I can draw it like he does when he stabs Deadpool in the neck.

Thank you very much your a champion mate

Well this was a surprise to find on thingiverse. No need to design one.

Hi guys, was it ever confirmed what are the greeblies under the cam tape on the stock of the BFG? I've never seen a clear image or been able to work out what goes under here. Is it some special first aid kit, where he keeps his special brand of chewing gum he brought back from the future, perhaps a packet of Camel cigarettes? I got no idea :)

Here's some photos of the lighter. I got it at a convenience store. They're more like those mini torches than a regular Bic. The propmaker is currently in Pennsylvania so these should still be available in the US. I can still get them up here in Canada.

You legend! Thanks so much!
I should be able to mock up something close enough to be passable once it's under all that tape :)

So I started working on Cable's time travel device. Man is this thing beautiful! The accuracy of this was a mix of the pictures below, as the watch has some differences between the two shots in the movie and the concept art. I tried to get it as accurate as possible, 3D printing this will be a b*tch, and even I might have to hire a company to do some of the small parts for me, the watch is big nonetheless. It's funny, in the second shot from the movie, you can see the Carl F Bucherer logo on the side, a small easter egg to the famous watchmaker. I didn't even bother trying to get those words on mine, they won't show up. There are a decent amount of details on here that I left out, simply because they would never show up on the 3D Print, or worse, make the print fail. As for the band, there aren't any clear shots in the movie of how he wears it on his wrist, to me it looks like he wears it on a band that is kind of wrapped around his glove, I would say it is still up for interpretation. This was a fun design process, I made one that has working iris, but it looks big and goofy. Anyways enjoy the pics, the mode is up on CGTrader, and for assembly, there's not much to it. Keep up the good work y'all and enjoy!

Do you or anyone on here make and sell a printed kit of this? That would rock.
If soooooo email me at rubberduckypjs@gmail.com

Over two years of searching, and I finally found some figamagigs and ordered them in bulk... but unfortunately, they’re not the right ones. They are more ”metallic grey” than ”metallic silver”, which is a bit too dark. They also don’t have the clear bottoms, where the gas gets loaded. I’ll take a stab at painting a set up and see how it goes!

image.jpg

Luckily, I have a ton of extras to keep trying. At the very least, these will hold me over until I find the right ones.

If you need some, are in the states, and don’t mind painting a set, feel free to message me. Still looking into international shipping, but a lot of places restrict the importation of “disposable / refillable” lighters, like Australia.

For now, I’ll experiment with these and continue my hunt for a better match!

EDIT:
Looks pretty great, pre-paint, once wrapped to the stock. That shape is strangely important, and is phenomonal!

Hey y’all. Long time skulker, first time poster. I’ve been wanting to make a Cable costume for years, and someone has finally shamed my procrastination into action

I got my shirt and had it professionally dyed back in 2018, and then stress purchased everything else last week! Woo! I started with the boots as they’re one of like two parts to actually get modded. I bought the sage Bates, and dyed all the leather bits with Angelus leather dye. Then I added the shin portion, buckles, etc. only thing left is some extra long brown laces and I’m calling them done! I just ordered two canvas ponchos off of eBay, so I’m looking forward to those arriving this week.

I’m collecting the parts for a Convoy Assault ensemble, and am only missing a few parts now, and was hoping for some assistance in case I missed anything!
-Have we identified Cable’s holster in his right hip? The one that holds the Walther?
-Have we identified the pants? I know there is 1,001 options for Grey tactical pants, but have we found THE ones?
-Are there 3D files/a lead on a con safe grenade launcher for the belt? I know that Evike sells one for $100, but Airsoft doesn’t make it into conventions much anymore.

Dammmmnn drewthecostumer - your boots turned out phenomenally!

- I have yet to identify the holster myself. As I found when I finally bought the Q5, not a lot of big companies have dedicated products for their line. I'm guessing, as it appears to be Kydex, it was probably punched out by some random custom-holster fabricator. Once I get my con-safe replicas done, I'll probably do a mich deeper dive into getting something screen accurate. I'll post my findings when that happens, but feel free to share any insights you've come across.
- The pants are 99.99% made by production for the film. Through around 2 decades of buying various combat uniforms and 2 years of pretty heavy searching for that exact pant, it has a few details that scream custom. 1.75"-2" belt loops to fit Cobra buckle and angled cargo pockets (both mostly post 2005), front covered button-closed-pockets (more Vietnam era), lack of reinforced knee fabric (more like WW1ish old-school), and a really modern crotch-stitching (like 2010-2015). I intend to one day make a pattern and just go nuts. I'll figure out a way to share that when I do (but that may be a 2021 or 2022 project)
- As for the EGLM being con safe; I just disassembled the airsoft one and glued it back together with less moving parts. If that worries you, maybe I can take a stab at molding/casting a true safe replica once I finish the Walther.

If anyone else has input, please share! I'd love to see this thread come back to life, as I still have to work on my costume and props; this thread has been a huge inspiration to keep me crafting!!

NECROTHREAD. AGAINNN
I've been working my tush off, and today, shot the first costume/makeup test.
Couple Notes:
-Eyebrow scars were Tinsley Transfers, which are about $10, and they're awesome. I learned a lot for next time to make them even better, but I recommend them fully. Cheek scarring was Mehron Rigid Collodion.
-I made my cloak! It's made out of two identical mystery army's half shelters, cut into shape, I added the hood, some lambskin trim hither and thither, and then I draped it and tacked it into place with Swing Tacks so my cloak with always look the same, always be folded just the way I want, and won't go anywhere, though it will still have simulated movement! I also built a tie system into the neck of the cloak and top of the plate carrier so that when fully tightened, my cloak cannot fall back to choke me. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty proud of the idea :) Picture attached.
-Last time I was here, I asked about pants and I think Toggle is dead on about them being custom. For now, I bought some Tru-Spec rip stop pants, and I plan on buying a second pair to make the cargo pockets. NOTE: The photos showing the pants were taken after I took LITERALLY 5.5 inches off of EACH LEG. These things were huge in the trunks. Thankfully, I can sew!
-I was having a hard time biting the bullet on $30-$40 airsoft grenades and I really didn't want to 3D print them. Did one last google search and found LuckyShot 40MM grenade shot glasses! they're $10 a piece, built to spec (allegedly??), and a breeze to paint. Bonus: They're water tight when closed so hiding booze at Cons just got easier!
Parts to address:
-Haven't weathered anything but my boots.
-Looking for dummy Walther Mags. BlueGun makes them, but they're backordered for like 5 months.
-My StrapWorks and Seattle Fabrics order arrives tomorrow that has all the materials I need to build the half hip pad he wears, and mod the plate carrier to have two straps on each side rather than just the stock one.
-Cannot find a "standing," teddy bear. Maybe with Valentines Day coming?? LOL.
-No luck on a Walther holster that I feel confident in. Probably gonna buy some Kydex and wing it.
-Buddy of mine (LunchBoxWars on IG) purchased the accurate 33rd extended Glock Mag today, and he's going to be molding and casting dummies if anyone needs some!
-BFG, Handheld grenade launcher, and Arm have been commissioned out. Now we wait.

These lighters are perfect. If you're still on here, do you have any contact/site info for the propmaker? No worries if not.
I'd love to light up a Deadpool pipe like this one with this lighter every day, but I'd need a good bit of money to burn first.

I can't seem to find the lighters in store anymore. Haven't really looked hard but they seem to be gone. I have a couple for myself but they're a different colour.

As for the prop maker who did Cable's rifle, his name is Ken Palkow. I doubt he's got any lighters around as he was purging his shop a few months back due to a move.
