So I've been working on a Cable cosplay inspired by Deadpool 2 for my sister.
Mostly have the arm done, so here's a few pics of the process
I'll keep posting as I get more done and as I acquire the various accessories for her cosplay:
Took a duct tape cast of my sister's arm, made the patterns and cut out the EVA foam. Used plastic wire looms (1/4" and 1/2") cut in half and glued in place for the cables:
Scored the lines with a blade and hit the whole thing with a heat gun. Rivets are made with Dremel.
Coated it in 6 layers of PVA glue/water mixture, then sanded it with 1200 grit and 3000 grit sandpaper:
Spray painted with Rust-Oleum Metallic Finish Bright Coat Chrome (2 coats):
And strung some Yellow EL wire inside and linked the shoulder/bicep to the elbow with some elastic on the inside, then fit tested yesterday, and this is where I'm at:
It fits my sister perfectly! Great movement. And she says it's comfortable.
Not quite finished. Still need to weather it.
Comments and suggestions welcome!
