Thanks for the kind words, Michael-san. I always envy the big garage or basement room of the Western house. My small shack but maybe rather blessed here in Japan. The good thing is you don't have to walk around to reach any tools.

Your wife probably asked “when it’s going to be finished” ?, cause she’s needing your ‘focused’ attention elsewhere around the home !...., but I’m sure that a gentleman of your many skills and talents can ‘juggle’ a dozen knives, spin two dozen teacups, create/design/build/model and prepare a dinner banquet simultaneously, without skipping a beat anyway !

As you said, we will be in a busy season taking care of our house.
Rainy season and mid-summer. Those small gardens will be a jungle of Nicaragua soon if we overlook the weeds. Many things to do.

Next Sunday is Father's Day. Yuki came back here with a little present for me last night.

So, we had dinner together. I cooked, of course. And my wife hands her a fresh cut of flowers from our garden. And some bread she baked. Also,
Yuki got all the leftovers from the dinner. Throw a sprat to catch a whale. She is good at it!

This morning, I cooked her steak bento. And maybe this bento will be a little more than the 1500th bento I made. She'll have her retirement day on December 2024. 300 or 400 more bento?

All these things are insignificant and ordinally things in life maybe.
But we are so happy with them.

Making a roof.
Using 1mm thick annealed aluminum.

It may need a few more turns of filler - sand - primer.
Then I fit the windshield and rear window.

I'm struggling to build a car that won't make you disappointed.
I always realized that America is the country of a vehicle. Mercedes is OK, Audi is fine, too, BMW? why not? But still, I love American hot cars. Look at that black Buick Riviera!! That's the dream car.
Many unique cars in many US TV shows are always fascinating to me.

Chevy Corvette in 'Route 66'

'Black Beauty' in 'Green Hornet'

'Bat Mobile' of course!

'General Lee' in Dukes of Hazard'

'Striped Tomato' (Japanese name Crimzon thunder') in Starsky and Hatch.

'Knight 2000' in Knight Rider

Many many more!

So, I might need more effort to build something you like. As I watch the works like the great paint job on Michael-san's Falcon and the fascinating space dock by joberg-san could really make me astounded and motivated me.

So far, I could put up some boring pics but the cabin and the chassis will be finished soon. I think I would paint this metallic red with some stripes.

What an awesome way to make wheel rims and hub caps. Old master mechanics technique with the use of hard wood carving and press to form curves from aluminum. Then, there is the beautiful photography. The eye combined with skill demonstrates your creativity for us to enjoy.
