Cyberpunk city diorama

Of course. We all enjoy your stuff a lot and you always and humbly feel like its nothing or something boring, as I know you've said before.
Back in the 80s, when model work was at its fullest in movies, had someone seen your work back then, I believe you would have been hired in a second with some company.
Thank you, Michael-san.
Just a little good omen. Some movie businesses still need excellent miniature effects. Like some works of Christopher Nolan, Maybe he understands the essence of moving the audience's heart. It's not an illusion on a computer program but the physical work of the craft man.

I'm currently watching 'The Dark Knight Rises' recorded from tv.
Absolutely shocked o_Oto find out (only today!) Tom Hardy played Bane. Didn't see that coming :cautious:because in 'Venom' he struck me as scrawny. It's the symbiont that 'pimps' him to giant size

I learned that only within the last year. He plays two very different characters so well.
...and, speaking of models AND Batman, it was also easy to miss that some of the Batmoble scenes used miniatures. (from The Dark Knight anyways)
Not sure how many were miniatures in the movie, as they did a really good job of combining all the elements together.

Tom Hary is one of my favorite actors. The first movie I saw that he appeared in was 'Inception'. I thought he is cool!
The most impressive one was Mad-Mad Fury Road. My wife was also knocked down by him. Later I found him appearing in 'Black Hawk Down'.

Oh, yeah!
In the Dark Knight Biggins, The crash and destruction of a monorail in the Gotham city were all miniatures!
In the Dark Knight that Heath Ledger played Joker. I was impressed by the duel scene of Bat Man and Joker on the street. The big tractor trailer was flipping upside down. That was all miniature set.
And I don't have to say about it in Inter Steller.
And I've just seen Top Gun Maverick this morning.
That was so exciting and very very well-made entertainment work.
I was satisfied and my wife and Yuki were crazy about it.

Don't worry, Tom Cruise did a great job. In fact, my daughter didn't see the first one yet but she could easily assume what happened in the last one.
;)

I've actually never seen the first Top gun movie.
I'm behind on quite a lot actually.
JediMichael Please try and obtain a copy of it (Yuki too ). It's perhaps dated to some, but very well worth your time.
Katsu-san, Tom Hardy in Blackhawk Down...cra-zy ! I never linked him to Twombly, but now I see the resemblance.Very impressive movie and I'll never forget it.
Even more impressive to read about miniatures in movies where you least expect them to have been utilized.I love those movies either way, but fun fact indeed :notworthy:

Love that Art Deco building Katsu-san(y)(y) :notworthy: :notworthy: Nothing replaces exterior light for sure. More rust on the emergency stairs and drips and wear on the façade because of it and it'll be outsanding!

Oh, of course, she wanted to see the first one so we enjoyed the Top Gun that night on U-Next TV while having a pizza and wine. She was surprised by the beauty of Kelly Mcgillis. And she said Top Gun Maverick is better than the original one. I think it's a very rare case that the sequel beat the original one.

Thank you joberg-san!

Today I peeled all the masking tapes from the windows and made support beams for the stairs.
I will make the A/C unit tomorrow and apply weathering all over.
I have to push the progress before it's really getting hot.

Thanks for looking!

Love the way the light shines through the windows!

Looks like there is room for lots of cool interior scenes in the rooms

it is funny, Recently Tom Hardy seems to be wearing some kind of mask as part of his character for some or all of the movie

The Dark Knight - Bane
Dunkirk - RAF pilot
Mad Max Fury Road
Venom

It is almost like seeing Sean Bean in a movie. You know Sean Bean's character will die

Tom Hardy will be donning a mask or face covering at some point

Love the Terminator face piece!

Those air conditioning units are amazing

I love that you gave some variety to the manufacturer/brand name/model number of them by having different sizes and fan blades etc... instead of making them all the same

Very impressive

owzers ! I mean...WOWZERS !!
So cool, Katsu-san
Arigato, George-san!

Thanks, Analyzer-san.

To make those things two or three is not the matter but making it 50 will be the JOB to do. You relieved me so much.

In fact, there are some 1/35 miniature A/C units in the retailer like the pic below. Of course, it's far better than mine at all but the price is $40 to $60!!! for a unit. Not Zimbabwe dollar, It's US dollar value.
