Crap, Hero's cancelled

Yeah Heroes was pretty bad this season. I tried watching but it was just horrid compared to the awesomeness of the first season. I hear they may be doing a tv movie to wrap up everything.

I agree the first season was great. This show gets me so angry sometimes. Why they spent so much time on that blasted Cheerleader , terrible actress, not that good looking, and the worst part was you couldn't kill her off in the show. She should have gone away to college and disappeared. The rest of the series could have been Sylar taking over the planet.

The writers are to blame not that there wasn't enough fan base.
:cry

Heroes has been barely tolerable since the writers strike during their second season.

I won't miss it too much after the lackluster circus of doom season.

Diminishing returns man. This past season, I missed episodes and did not care a bit. If I had missed the first season...oh lawd.

Loved Heroes S1, gave S2 a chance, didn't bother after that. Life's short, other things to do.

Eureka's coming back though? Excellent.

I thought after the first season, they would actually evolve into "Heroes" that saved people's lives and stopped robberies, and stuff like that. They would actually live the life of a super hero, but it just became a back and forth mish mosh of the same people over and over again loosing and gaining powers.

I watched it... I hope something better comes along.

Well I can't say I will miss it. After that lack of battle in Kirby Plaza in the first season it never regained my trust. I was expecting a big power zappy building smashing fight and I got what amounted too a few people getting tossed around and some fireworks high in the sky.. YAWN...

I liked Season 1 when it was special and rare to have powers. After season 1, everyone you meet had some sort of power. It ruined the original premise IMO.

Ditto, ditto, ditto and ditto.

I watched it last season mostly just to catch up on the characters I did like. Tivo-ed it and fast-forwarded in places.

Not sure how they could have saved it.

Re: Crap, Heroes cancelled

While already a couple of threads about it, I will say that I have enjoyed all the seasons - some more then others, and really liked this last season. Sorry to see it go. I hear there is talk of showing 4 episodes in 2 two hour blocks to wrap up the show. I would be shocked if that happen but it sure would be nice to have some closure of the thing.

I loved the show; it had its "ups and downs", like all script-based shows, but was a great concept with great characters.

I'm sure it will be replaced with yet another, "American Has No Talent / American Idol / Survivor / Dancing With The B List Stars ", etc. reality TV garbage with people embarassing themselves for 15 seconds of fame (The kind of shows my girlfriend loves to watch so much).

It will be missed by me.

Yeah, don't hold your breath, man. They said the same thing about Deadwood in 2006. Still no movies in sight.

That kind of stuff only tends to happen when a few other factors come into play, like, the show was a big hit that got too expensive for the ratings it was pulling (as opposed to being a steady downward slide), and/or the creators are permitted to do a direct-to-DVD release like with SG-1.
