BATGIRL FILM CANCELLED

At this point I give it about 50/50 chances whether Flash comes out or not. It will have little to do with the merger and more to do with the calculus of how much damage they think it will do to release the movie with Miller's insanity hanging over it.

But you don't really know that for certain because they've never released more than a still shot with Stolz in it. I think they're afraid that if we saw some of the footage we might realize it was actually better with him in it than Alex P. Keaton. People make assumptions based on the fact the liked the final movie, not because they know they didn't like the other guy in the role. We can only take their word for it that it wasn't working, but taste runs amok. Zemeckis thought The Frighteners was better than Ghostbusters. What does he know about taste? BTTF2 & 3 were derivative remake copies of the first movie down to copying the same skateboard and wakeup scenes. They're not aging well as a result. They look like remake/reboot/crappy sequels at this point. I liked BTT2 when I was a teenager and thought maybe the future really will look different, but now it seems ridiculous. Their vision of the future was a joke. It's 2022 and it looks exactly like 1985 outside except for the even uglier cars and people staring at their phones all day long (You mean you have to use your hands? That's like a baby's toy! Yeah, Frodo, we don't use our hands at all...just to type/text on phones ALL DAY LONG!). BTTF3 does a little better since it at least it's more accurate to the time period, but it still copies the original too much, IMO.

This director says Batgirl IS working but we don't believe him because the CEO of Discovery Channel says Batgirl should be a documentary about bats hosted by Giorgio Tsoukalos, not some kiddie comic book movie and that HBOMax was a mistake and should become part of Discovery+ with more episodes of Skinwalker Ranch instead of first run movies and the Loony Toons are largely going bye-bye....(although maybe that's better than woke).

I've always been quick to say that the BTTF premise could have been done seriously, and Eric Stolz's very serious/scared attitude about the situation (that Marty was in) was valid. But I get the feeling that wasn't what the entire rest of the cast & production was doing. The problem during shooting in 1985 was the mismatch. And the final result of replacing him was a classic.

As for the sequels, they weren't up to the first one but the Bobs knew it at the time. They openly said they did the sequels because it wasn't their call. The studio said sequels were happening whether they were involved or not. And during filming of #2 they openly said "we hate going to 2015 because we know we're gonna be all wrong about it. So we're making jokes out of it."

BTW, there was a significant difference between the look of Hill Valley from 1955-85 and that was accurate. Can you really blame them for predicting some obvious differences from 1985-2015? The pace of change in the world just slowed down from 1985-2015 compared to the earlier 30-year period.

As for 'Batgirl' - what director said it was working? The director of the movie itself? So what?

These guys would tell you that Winger is a great band:

Hijinks? He has possible felony criminal cases pending in multiple states. I think describing those as hijinks is a bit of an understatement.
I haven't kept up on it to r honest as I've never heard of him until recently.

Innocent until proven guilty is how it used to work. The woke method lately is assume white makes are guilty of anything and everything claimed.... Look at what happened to Johnny Depp. Turns out his wife was a psychopath.

Technically Ezra prefers they/them. Regardless, innocent until proven guilty is how American courts are supposed to work, and iirc some of their escapades have happened overseas (Iceland, I believe?).

Regardless, they're a talented actor but seem to have some big issues, and the number of times these things have happened lends some credence to that.

The term “Hijinks” has its basis in Justinian’s Code referring to high crimes (or “jinks”).

I believe that the Justinian legal term for various felony crimes is “Hijinks in differing levels, or degrees”…

For example, kidnapping was known as “Hijinks in the Third Degree”…

Some think the Cern facility is to blame. We entered an alternative universe....

The universe we are in, by definition, can’t be an alternate universe.

Even if you subscribe to many worlds interpretation, the universe that we are in can only be “our universe.”

In many worlds interpretation, the point that CERN was turned on created divergent paths of realities…just like every other quantum event has throughout all of history.

So there IS an alternate reality, based on that divergence, but that reality is not OUR reality. If that makes sense.

Regardless, that has nothing to do with Ezra Miller’s behavior. You mention “innocent until proven guilty,” which is a facet of our court system. It means that Ezra won’t be sent to prison until Ezra is found guilty of crimes. The funny thing about that concept is the court of public opinion isn’t bound to it. At all.
