Any idea what the turnaround time will be on these for a kit, as well as fully finished version? Just curious, as that may influence my decision on which way to go.

You're going to need to be patient either way. I just had a corporate client move up their due date by 2 months which means I'll be doing triple overtime to make that date. Kits likely won't start shipping out until the middle of January and finished ones will need another 6 to 8 weeks.

I like Krylon's Satin black for the base coat and gloss black for the two areas that are gloss.

Quick update for everyone waiting for finished helmets. The helmets and face masks are trimmed and the magnets installed and cleaned up. I'll be doing the final magnets that hold the visor to the top of the helmet today and then they will be ready to paint.
