I've always wondered why - for such on old, aged/worn looking saber - that's basically black, why they made the bottom cap perfectly colored red?

Yes, all the pictures in that album look great. I skipped out of the initial run because of the price, but really want to get in on the V2 now. Excellent paint work, usually just do myself but that looks great and I'd consider having it done by Artisan FX!

How are you all tucking the red wire into the bottom/pommel area?

Not sure if you have the resin insert or metal, but I just used a small round file and made a slot for it. Then when I screw in the pommel it clamps it down and keep it in place.
