Limited Run CLOSED: Kylo Ren CNC aluminium ultra accurate Saber

Question.
If the propshop (second photo) is based from the screen used static hero version lightsaber, and if the first is the screenused hero static lightsaber, can someone explain where do the 4 aluminum parts on the red wire come from?
IS the propshop replica of a different kylo ren lightsaber?

The first is a rubber stunt casting not the hero :)

OK it' just the stunt saber, now I understand why it is so ugly compared to the other one, but as a stunt it's really nice and detailed!

I saw you opened up the sign up list on your facebook page (and I'm assuming here shortly). If we wanted to get ArtisanFX to assemble / paint this, would we need to ship it to ourselves and ship it to ArtisanFX on our own or will there be shipments directly to them?

Thanks!

are you referring to his first run of these, or did he start a sign up list for the second version?

Signed up.

Anyone else notice he's asking 850 Euros for it painted and assembled which currently comes out to 911 USD dollars lol. I might have to back out though because $911 is a ton of money for a non licensed lightsaber.

Coming soon.
If I remember correctly, the price for the rough one is 660 euros, then the finished prop is about 850 or so, and there is finished fx option for about 1200 euros .
Details are larger quillons for ⅞" general size about 5% larger and different assembly to avoid issues with the first batch.
THere are also different technical improvements, but I don't remember exactly.
Then there are all extra parts wires and brass clasp, modified design to match the general change on the saber, but working on the jj clips.

Hi, I've been so slammed and haven't had a change to post up here, but I will be setting up the run post here as well. You can have anyone finish your saber. I will collect shipping at one time for those who are going to the same finishers/installers. However, you will need to own this relationship/communication on your own. You just tell me where you want me to ship it and I will ship it there.

Yeahhhh, see above :) coming soon. I'll link in a new reply once it's up.

The price is high but it's technically lower vs the V1.

V1 was $685 for the full alu machined saber. But it did not include the quillion heatsinks in this price (+$15), the brass clip (+40) the red wire (+$1), or the screw sets for assembly and blade set screws ($20).

V2 will be about 5% larger, so more material used, it will include the brass clip, the red wire, the set screws, and heatsinks for the quillion are integrated.

Oh, and the saber will also include the 3 blade plugs as a machined part.

Keep also in mind that because I"m in Germany I'm required to charge 19% tax on top of everything since I needed to register a VAT business in order to continue making these sabers. I realize this isn't your choice but without it, I have no ability to produce these.

So all in all, this saber is decidedly lower cost vs V1 and allows you to get a more complete saber from the outset.

It's hard to appreciate how complicated this saber is to machine. After the design was finished, I spent 3 weeks daily communicating with the machinist dissecting every single piece of this saber in order to make sure it was able to be machined, while maintaining the absolute accuracy.

Also, I saw a comment about a lot to pay for a non licensed prop. I have to disagree, while still agreeing a little bit.

The prop shop saber was $1200 plus imports and shipping which was in excess of $200. This was a 3d printed piece of metal and plastic. it was solid and not a functional saber.

My V1 and V2 maintain all of the details of this saber, in a way that can be made fully functional. So for under $1000 you can have a saber that looks nearly the same as the Prop Shop saber. then you can add electronics, and make it come alive.

Of course it makes a lot of money but I prefer to spend lots of money for a non official nice prop than a few on something braded as official.
When I check my collection, I see some tricloudwalker, anakin starkiller, a bit of russrep or romans, and lots of self made stuff, but absolutely nothing licensed.
There are some good licensed lightsabers, but none are fx ready and will need lots of mods and risks to get fx (MR LE, specifically the sidious, windu, qui-gon and probably dooku, probably the best replicas, even just cast zamac for most of the parts)
And,
When I see the asking price for custom sabers, sometimes just for roughly equiped fx sabers on quite simple hilts...

Put me in for a rough kit!

I notice the Tri-Rebel being used fir the side blades. I understand why that LED is being using but can the star really be shaved down that much? I have modified them for the 7/8" heatsinks before but not for a 3/4" one. The legs of the lens do not even fit in the holder. Any help/advice would be awesome. Thanks all!

There is a 20mm star, with a hole in the center. It can be shaped down and the lens as well, I've seen it on quite a few sabers.

Though, I'm not really sure that a lens is needed due to the shortness of the quillion.

2 questions:

1. What size screw is needed to secure the quillon side emitters?
2. What solutions have been used to address the alignment issue between the two halves?
