Limited Run CLOSED: Kylo Ren CNC aluminium ultra accurate Saber

The V1 run I can understand people have some doubts. A semi unknown person setup to do a pretty large deal like a saber run. Some anxiety and worries if I'm a flash in the pan, if I can be trusted with your money and so on.

The V1 run was not without it's problems but they have been sorted and I think the V1 run has proven that I can produce. There should be nothing holding you back from this very complicated and intricate saber.

I've ordered the prototype saber already, it should be done in the next 12-14 days.

Once I have this I will take some photos and measurements and do some initial QC to ensure that this is the saber we all want and suggest some changes to the machinist as necessary.

Shortly thereafter I will split the V2 details into it's own sale thread.

So we're close to run start. I know it's hard just after the holidays.

With the V2 run I do not see as many delays we we had in the V1. I'm now the only person involved in the sales process and machining, not counting the machinist. So there will be no back and forth delays between me and a partner. I'm sure it won't be perfectly smooth sailing but I'm very hopeful that this run will take a lot less time vs the V1.

i believe in you dday!!:thumbsup

For the record I know it's not a cast lol. I used the word out of habit. It being machined is the entire reason I want it. There are resin based ones you can get elsewhere.

I know someone mentioned an o-ring to fix alignment issues earlier. Does anyone know what size? Or possibly where to get some? Thanks!

Usually your local hardware store as little ring kits, with different ones in different sizes. A thick paper gasket would work as well.

I'll be checking the price differences and going with the best bang for the buck.

IMO stainless quillions would be an unnecessary expense.

I simply measured and cut a ring/washer/gasket out of poster board you can buy at most stores that sell office supplies. Mine only needed to be clocked 10 degrees back and now it tightens snug right to the mark. Cost less than 5 dollars.

Any pics of you gasket for those of us with less abilities but a woobly saber? [emoji3]

If you are talking about it twisting too far and not lining up, I would just put a small drop of superglue on the threads. Should be strong enough to hold it in place. If you wanted to unscrew it later, then just give it a quick twist to break it free again.

I don't know if already in the kit, but it would be interesting to include the accurate red color wire and I think there are other wires inside?!, good to add them too in
the kit.

The red wires were provided at a little extra charge, and the blue wires included free.

This time it will come as a full package, all wires and screws needed. It will raise the price a bit but it will be easier vs having to source things on your own.

Question.
If the propshop (second photo) is based from the screen used static hero version lightsaber, and if the first is the screenused hero static lightsaber, can someone explain where do the 4 aluminum parts on the red wire come from?
IS the propshop replica of a different kylo ren lightsaber?
