Do we not have a policy on price basing anymore, or are you just not reading the TOS?
Honestly, I'm shocked and disappointed at the amount of it going on in this thread. I have no horse in the race, but as a seller it's VERY frustrating.

Yup it's in there, but I tend to ignore pricing comments, the people who will sign up and know the value of the offering won't be concerned with this as the know the true value of a machined hilt like this. I'm not looking to please the majority of people, just the minority

From the responses so far, this run is still a go. more people are in than out from the responses I have so far, so it's a setback but not the end.
Still moving forward.

Unfortunately that price is a bit too upscale for me. I'm all for accuracy and CNC but I can only justify it to a point Have you tried looking into other machine shops? Prices can vary quite a bit between shops.
Unfortunately I'm out, unless you can get the price back down in the low to mid 400 euro range. Good luck with the run!
(Btw this is by no means price bashing, the level of detail will be great, as the old adage says: you get what you pay for... But I just can't justify the cost for my needs)

You could outsource the CNC work to China. That's what Korbanth/Parks Sabers, Saber Forge and Ultra Sabers do (the Anovos TK armor is also from china, not that it's machined but still)... or is this quote already from a Chinese machine shop?

No problem. I anticipated I would lose a few of the current signups, but that some would stay and I'd recover and keep on moving forward.
I've priced a few local shops and working to get details from a USA shop but right now my current shop and lowest price is a shop from China I have worked with on other projects in the past and have had reliable quotes and products from them.
Got you down, we'll make it happen.

I tried on FX but you have to be a part of their saber maker club and I'm not looking to join a club as this will likely be the only saber I will do.

So folks this run is still going. but the time to jump on is closing down. About another week or two and I'll be placing the order with the machinist.

Ok, I got the machinist to honor the same 50 hilt pricing but rather for just 25. This means we will be proceeding much sooner with the order... as in right now.
There is still places available so PM or sign up if interested. Deposits being collected now
