I don’t believe the real helmet has that bottom line too much sharper sculpturally. It is an illusion, as it is taped and sprayed along that edge. In fact you can see in some photos where Legacy actually missed the edge. It looks like EFX freehands that potentially. I almost think the do silver first and then the other color after which is not correct.

As I’ve said several times.. the ears and vent are the same paint as the rest of the helmet. The helmet was sprayed to about 50-65% opacity, while the ears and vent were taken to full opacity. Anovos and myself “cheat” the highlight by base coating them a slightly lighter color and the Alumaluster shows up brighter. Different method, same effect.

Looking at these close-ups, that line is definitely sharper than EFX's. You can see the hard edge of the shadow falling off, and how rounded the lower triangle shadow is on the EFX. The tip looks rounded off vs. squared off.

That’s strange. I wasn’t first wave. I received my payment due email last Tuesday (June 23rd) and it arrives Saturday the 27th.

Nevermind, my order was direct from eFX, not CC.

Here is my email:

Is the second wave all other helmets from the 750 run?

Finally got mine today, but I’m in Japan so understandably it took a while to get here. I’m extremely happy with it. All lines are straight, mandibles are even, etc... weirdly though, if not in direct light, damn thing looks almost black, but as soon any light hits it...it’s game on.

That looks awesome and it doesn't look like there is excessive weathering on the cheeks like some people are getting.

Yeah man, I honestly was sweating bullets unpacking it because I’ve seen quite a few that either had crooked lines, random flaws, too much weathering, not enough weathering,… You get the picture. Needless to say I literally **** a brick because for me, I got lucky and this one is near perfect.

Yours looks great.Your "ear" looks also sharper casted.

Agree. This helmet needs light. Like I said in my mini review, “it craves light”.

Got my helmet in, overall the lines were clean and there was no droop, I was happy with it...then I saw chips and cracks on the right side of the visor...

I'm glad it looks like I'm in the minority with those issues but this is the 3rd direct buy from a retailer I've had with an efx product that has had issues...replaced my vader dome 4 times due to cracks, chips and webbing in the paint, hoping it doesn't take 4 times with this one. Ordered from Chronicles, already messaged them with them saying they'll reach out to Efx to see what they say.

Mine arrived last week.

I love the size and shape. But I'm still on the fence as to whether I'd like an "idealized" version more than the Screen accurate mold EFX used.

I MIGHT be leaning to get Anovos for comparison.

I got the first EFX helmet in for repainting. Unfortunately this cast has a similar crack in the edge of the visor like the one posted above. The ears are lacking some details seen in the Anovos helmet, I believe because they were pretty poorly molded.

This one will be on my table in two weeks or so hopefully, and I will do my best to post photos when it’s cleaned up and refinished.
