Which is the Best X-Wing Helmet available on the Market as of 2025?

Hello there everybody!

I have a question, this probably has been discussed many times before, but I have to ask it anyways. Which is the absolute best Rebel Alliance "Traditional" Helmet (For X-Wing and some Y-Wing pilots also) on the Market today? I mean, the higher quality, highest end, and the most absolutely accurately detailed replica/prop Helmet? (To be used and worn, not just for Display, and I mean, has to be 1:1 in Scale to the Movie(s) size) I have seen really good Comments on the Anovos/Denuo novo, but also good comments on the eFX one. So, Which one is the best, overall, (no matter the price tag, the better and Highest quality)?. I Investigated and found these ones:

1. eFX Luke X-Wing Helmet
2. Anovos (now Denuo Novo) X-Wing Helmet
3. Master Replicas X-Wing Rebel Helmet.
4. RS Propmasters from London.
5. DW Helmet (I forgot the brand name but I saw it somewhere)
6. SHEPPERTON DESIGN STUDIOS (aka Original Stormtrooper), also from the UK

Now there are some fan made ones
7. PilotBay from Etsy
8. DHPFX from Etsy
9. MonCalsPropShop, also from Etsy

(I didn't included The Black Series Helmet because It's just a glorified toy, not actually a 1:1 prop Helmet, same case with the Galaxy's Edge (I think), but I'm not totally sure on the second, neither)

PD: I'm kinda conflicted on this, because I'd like to buy one for Customizing it, but I feel it would be a sin to customize some of the ones that are higher on the list.

Those are all the ones I have found, if you have any other suggestion, feel free to comment. I have made this post/research for future reference, so I ask you, the experienced fans that are the true experts on this theme to enlighten me. (I also asked on the RebelScum forums)

Side note to the Admins/Mods: If I posted with the wrong flair or in the wrong category, fix it or tell me how to correct it :)

1. eFX Luke X-Wing Helmet

I used to have one of these. Very nice looking but I would say based on the going rate, it serves better as a display piece. Also, it is my belief as well as some others that this helmet is oversized because they believed that the original molds for the helmet utilized a XL Flight helmet but based on several other sources, it was actually a size L. I eventually got rid of the helmet because I had other versions of the helmet and rather have the money it was valued at.

3. Master Replicas X-Wing Rebel Helmet.

Did they make one? I don’t seem to recall their version.

Isn’t RS the top of the mountain in all things? I thought they slush cast production and screen used items to make their offerings. I could be wrong but regardless, I would prefer that process vs a 3D scan or however else they are making things these days.

The MonCalPropShop Helmets (Specifically their Version 1 Helmets) are by the same people who produced the X Wing Helmets for Rogue One and were presumably reused in productions since.

they also made the Rebel Fleet Trooper (V1), Imperial Navy Trooper (V1) and Imperial Gunner Helmets which have also been reused in The Mandalorian etc.

The RS Prop Masters Helmet is very good quality, I don't know id they moulded an X Wing helmet or a TIE Fighter Helmet but since they use the same base helmet it doesn't matter that much.

Not entirely - their X-wing helmet is, by most accounts (and I'll be putting together a comparison in the near future) is most likely cast off of a small-sized APH-6 B/C helmet. That's not to say RS's helmet is not "good", it's just on the smaller/narrower side.

For reference, MonCalPropShop = Far Away Creations. They're the same shop, just the Etsy shop name is different.

Are you sure about what you are saying? Unless you know this factually about their process, beyond comparisons, you shouldn't post this kind of thing.

The RS is the only original trilogy x wing helmet that is screen accurate . It’s cast from moulds out of a real helmet , that is, a real production made x wing helmet moulds .
Nothing else on the market has production lineage . Plus, their paint jobs are superb quality and done in the exact process of the originals , paint where production used paint and decals where production used decals .

That is what I thought….thank you for confirming

That's what I presume, based on handling one in person, I'm not trying to spread misinformation or slander anyone's work - RS does great work - I'm just adding it as a comparative mark.

I meant no offense if I made anyone bristle with my addition to the discussion.

Sorry but you made disparaging statements about an RS product’s derivation that are/were purely speculative. Unfortunately for you, I read your last post with reference to your discussions with SDS/AA, which I see now you have removed with an edit. Your intentions and opinion are now suspect.

I think instead of collaborating with competitors of RS Props about such matters, you should reach out directly to RS Props.

Fair enough. I'll do my due-diligence and reach out. Again, I'm not trying to be suspect or slander anyone's work out there.
