Captain America: Civil War

didn't the Iron Legion (I think?) turn and help Ultron? If I'm remembering correctly then there were some evil robots running around with the Avengers logo on their chest, so I assume somebody has some questions for Stark.

I don't think the Avengers logo-wearing robots were seen again after Ultron attacked them at the party. I could be wrong though.

EricVespe: Anthony Mackie just took the stage to talk Captain America Civil War. First words were about how crazy Doctor Strange looks.

devincf: Mackie takes the stage. Introduces Chris Evans and the crowd is ON THEIR FEET. CUT THE CHECK. #D23Expo

EricVespe: Falcon introduces his buddy Cap. Chris Evans walks out and the audience is on their feet.

EricVespe: Mackie and Evans says they brought some footage they personally cut on iMovie on their laptops.

osteoferocious: "And then we go in our trailer in sing the Frozen theme song," Anthony Mackie jokes about their Disney fandom. #D23Expo #CivilWar

RaineyTime: Anthony Mackie, The Falcon of Marvel fame says that Chris Evans goes on YouTube and sings the Frozen theme song he loves Disney so much. D23

devincf: Scott Lang meeting Cap is THE BEST SCENE EVER. "You know a lot of super people, so thinks for thanking of me." #D23Expo

EricVespe: Lots of footage from Civil War shown. Cap: "I know they're not perfect, but they're still the safest hands out there."

devincf: s***, CVIL WAR looks OUT OF CONTROL. Action is raw but has a superhero edge. WINTER SOLDIER x 2. #D23Expo

EricVespe: "Sometimes I want to punch you in your perfect teeth." -Tony Stark to Steve Rogers.

EricVespe: Footage ended with Scott Lang meeting Cap. Couldn't stop shaking his hand. "What an honor... I'm shaking your hand too long..."

empiremagazine: Civil War footage a lot of fun. Cap vs. Crossbones. Big fights! And... A certain Ant-Man. #D23Expo

EricVespe: Also a fight between Black Widow and Hawkeye. BW: "Are we still going to be friends after this?" H: "Depends on how hard you hit me..."

empiremagazine: Plus a great version of Falcon's Redwing we won't spoil here. #D23Expo

devincf: Bucky is captured by the govt. He remembers his past! He knows Steve's mom's name. He knows Steve wore newspapers in his shoes. #D23Expo

EricVespe: Quick look at Black Panther, too. Saw his claws slide out. He was ready to get into some s***, I think.

EricVespe: No Spider-Man reveal, but that Civil War footage was expansive. Will have a detailed write up after the panel finishes.

devincf: "The job is trying to save as many as possible, but sometimes it isn't everyone." - Steve Rogers defining the MCU #D23Expo

He took over/hacked them and they became his bots, like he did with his first Ultron incarnation, then I think a few of them left with him after his first appearance on the Avengers Tower.

This is from a chase sequence in Berlin. I hope they release the trailer by next week.

So do I have to see AoU in order to understand the plot of this movie? I'm pretty pumped to see Civil War brought to the screen, but I don't have much interest in the last Avenger film.

No not really. I'm sure the few minor details will be covered towards the beginning of the film.

As stated in the footage description article his memories slowly start to catch up. And though it was likely a gradual process, the audience will probably see it manifest during the final stages.

No, there's only a sidebar between Sam and Steve in civvies. As long as you've seen Winter Soldier, you're good.

I really hope we pick up where the post credits of Winter Soldier left him, as he explores the Captain America museum.

For some reason it just left me needing more! I want to see his face as he walks around.. the confusion... The fear.. the anger. Could be crazy cool!

I'm curious to see the Winter Soldier story develop, but I have never understood the public's enthusiasm for 'blue-on-blue' / 'green-on-blue' / 'blue-on-green' action.
There's a reason it's forbidden in the armed forces. You never go against your teammates...ever.

The point of this film isn't to see "good guys vs good guys." It's to see how two individuals, and their respective "sides," react to a "law" that is passed...one who sees it as a necessity, the other who sees it as an affront to the very core of what being an American is all about.

It is, after all, titled "Civil War," and as we all know, our very own Civil War pitted family and friends against one another on the battlefield...not because they hated one another, but because they were on opposite sides of two ideologies.

So far the reviews of the trailer at D23 seemed to have been well received. My one worry tho is that i hope this movie will make it seem like their is alot at stake and not just that their gonna be sparring over a disagreement and the hug it out. Referring this to 1 scene in the trailer.

Oh, duh, that's why the sides are like that...
Scarlet Witch was default for Cap's side, so Natasha HAD to be on IM's, so that each team has a woman.

Is that the Scarlet Witch or Agent 13 (Sharon Carter)?
