Captain America: Civil War

Is that the Scarlet Witch or Agent 13 (Sharon Carter)?

The earlier reports (which I see no reason to doubt, since the only differences don't contradict) had
Spidey on IM's team
and
Scarlet Witch on Cap's team
.

I do note, though, looking at the images again, that
Cap's team has 1 more than IM's

So... Am I the only one who doesn't care at all for Cap's team? I mean Cap, Bucky, and Falcon are cool... But IM, WM, Vision, and Black Panther??? Team OP FTW.

You're not the only one. I'm a Cap fan, but I was kind of hoping for
War Machine/Iron Patriot/Whatever He's Called Now
to end up on Team Cap.

Absolutely.
I'd love to see Tony and Rhodey duke it out again. It could add a whole new depth to the "civil war" aspect.

I'm assuming if Spidey has a side at all, it's going to be Cap's. I honestly think they'll need something else to save that team for me.

One thing to remember is that these rosters could just be the affiliations towards the beginning of the movie. There's a few people still missing, namely SW and Spidey, so I would expect some changes throughout the movie.

Also Rhodey already fought Stark in IM2... twice. So yeah, I'm good on passing that matchup.

Anyone else notice Falcons Red Wing flying overhead? Also doesn't Ant Man seem a little big? I'm pretty sure he shrank ALOT smaller than that. I'm sure it's just so he's seen in the poster

:lol

I didn't even see Ant-man until you mentioned it!
Total fail on my part.

I guess we're done spoiler tagging everything?

Still a resounding "meh" that team is for me. Agent 13 also feels completely shoe horned into it. Like some team balancing crap.. If this team has a female, this other team definitely needs a female! ..... No it doesn't.

Apparently, these are merchandising style guides - so the reason we're not seeing the Scarlet Witch (and Spidey) is that Marvel won't issue merchandising rights to characters they don't control. It's probable that something may be worked out with Sony with Spidey, but not likely with Fox.

Although - SW did seem to have merch out for Avengers Age of Ultron. So this report could very possibly be wrong...

I haven't been in the thread at all and I haven't read civil war (I don't know where to start. it affected too many comics)

Was civil war the marvel attempt at "kingdom come"?

No. The best Marvel analogue to Kingdom Come would be the Earth X series. Civil War was more to shake up the status quo and kill people you didn't think could be killed (even if everyone knew they'd be back because Marvel). And don't worry too much about the comics storyline. That's only barely inspiring the film, as the set-up is entirely different. No mutants, no secret identities, no Fantastic Four. The instigating factor will have a different slant and different person/people responsible, so the government reaction will have a different thrust and impact than in the comics, and the people picking sides will not necessarily follow the same lines as in the comics.

*looks at team pictures*

Scarlett Witch is dead, isn't she?

No I doubt it, she was heavily featured in the D23 footage, couple possible explanations:
-She was partially to blame for the incident that triggers the registration act, and gets locked up or exiles herself in the first half of the movie
-This promo art was created very early when Whedon was still toying with who would end up being in the new Avengers roster at the end of AoU

PS: No need to spoiler tag speculations!
