Tentatively interested based on Sizing. I'm oddly shaped, and may need to send you some measurements....

2 questions:

- do you have any idea what the lead time would be, from the time payments are sent
- how will we know the ones we get actually look like that.

the last time i got in on a custom leather run, the results were less than satisfactory. what i got was not at all what i expected, and it took 2-3 times as long as estimated.

You'd have to refer to Danny on the first question, but I can help out on the second one. If you check out either of his other Star Lord Jacket runs (Both the short and long coat) the jackets delivered to people were spot on to the pictures he posted of them. And while this isn't 100% proof that they'll be just as good, I think it's a pretty comforting fact :thumbsup

1. it's usually around three weeks after I close the run
2. As Neoproks said (thank you so much btw!) I have already made jackets, latest one was the Star Lord short jacket, you can compare what I announced with what people are getting and the only dfference is that the pics of Kevin look even better than mine. Anyway, I can always end you pics for your approval, but yeah, they're all made by the same molds, which is why, if you visit my Star Lord gloves run I haven't started to get payments for those, since I don't have the molds and patterns finished and I like to show people exactly what they're buying.

From screenshots of the costume, it seems to me that large portions of it aren't leather at all and are fabric. Is this one going to replicate that or do Captain America jacket makers just stick with all leather to make it easier. Or am I wrong about what the screen used one is made of? I just see a thread like this one: http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=226351 where the OP is patching his together with fabric pieces.

So when you say that the only way to be more screen accurate is to have the real one, is it really going to be accurate with materials used?

Yes, I am using more leather than the one used on screen, what I'm referring to when I talk about screen accuracy are all the details, shapes and overall feel of the jacket. Making this in leather isn't easier tho, it's both harder to sew and more expensive.

Yeah, I'll be in for pants too. I'm cool with leather vs the fabric used on the original. The jacket at least will get worn as more than just a costume.

I've been trying to figure out if I'm prepared to walk around in this as a regular clothing item. I'm pretty sure I will be. I'd be interested to see the open look too.
