I'm just going to say that I work in a field that deals with merchandising, including clothing.
Clothing is still messed up. Everything that anyone wanted ordered for products - snaps, thread, buttons, zippers, cloth, etc - wasn't being made or delivered for over a year. That doesn't mean that people quit ordering it, it just meant that there was a production backlog of a year. Then people saw that there was a backlog and started ordering for extended periods.
You don't want to wait 6 months to get 3 months worth of merchandise, so they doubled their orders. Now your backlog is closer to 2 years worth of merch, and people are still making orders.
I spent 8 months waiting for shirt blanks. They couldn't get the fabric. 2 months for the printing company to receive them. Then 5 months waiting for them in the printing queue.
After all of that, I had to wait 3 weeks for the transportation backlog to ship them to me so I could move them to a warehouse.
Yes, it sucks waiting for something that you have paid for, but a lot of things are STILL really backed up right now.
