...but thought I should also post them with my new spare set of mid-brown lenses, in an attempt to replicate the same look as the Paul Smith Padfields, also in a similar buff/champagne color...

Tanya from propspecs who actually personally selected the 2430's for the movie, confirmed that they were 58mm versions.
I also have the movie 58mm lenses from Tanya for my 2430's.

I took pictures with 55size persol and 58size persol side by side. I also arranged a picture of Tanya.
The picture is distorted by the lens, so is it wrong? Is 58size the correct answer??

My 2430s (58) arrived today from New Delhi! I bought them at an Indian website, so I was a bit nervous that it might be a scam.

Should I dare to try and remove the paint from the frame?

I removed the black metal type, but I am considering whether to enjoy the brown type as it is.

I’m thinking you might be right, it seems to me that the 2430 that RDJ wore in the movie are 55’s.

Now that I have the 58’s they look bigger in me than in RDJ and his rather small head.

I think now, the general consensus is that it is the striated brown in both the deleted jet scene and the white R8 scenes.

Had a hard time deciding on the new British Steel, so I went with the 7 base colours. I'll worry about the purple & champagne custom ones down the track. I waited it out for these as the originals were too small. Jason told me that he's also redoing the Superunknown and those are approx. 5-6 weeks off. Been holding off on those as well, as I knew he'd revisit them sooner or later.
