Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

Tanya from propspecs who actually personally selected the 2430's for the movie, confirmed that they were 58mm versions.
I also have the movie 58mm lenses from Tanya for my 2430's.

When I got home, I scrutinized. Maybe Tanya's selection is 58.

From Tanya's instagram, I thought persol was the same as or slightly smaller than dita flight 006.persol58 is the same as or slightly smaller than dita flight 006!

Had a hard time deciding on the new British Steel, so I went with the 7 base colours. I'll worry about the purple & champagne custom ones done the track. I waited it out for these as the originals were too small. Jason told me that they're also redoing the Superunknown and those are approx. 5-6 weeks off. I didn't get into colours with Jason and he didn't say. Guess we'll wait and see... In my opinion the Superunknown is closer to Initium's Revelation frame in size, which I also own, but with a slight hex to it. I did try them on when I caught up with Jason a while back and they're definitely bigger than the LC, but he didn't have the colour I wanted at the time. All things considered, the LC is probably my least fave Iron Man frame. I feel like I should be an extra in a Fast & Furious movie when I put them on.

For practice of eyeglass repair, DUBERY is converted into an actual replica. The original police neymar jr is used for the bridge and hinges. Excuse me.

The neymar jr1 is attractive because it has four hinges. So I want to fix cheap replicas!

So I bought some classic folding Persol 714's and after using some mild heat with careful and precise brute force, removed the tight fitting glass lenses...


...and made some blue gradient lenses to try to match up...


RDJ's Persol's however, seem to look a lot more like the 714 "VM", a thinner frame version of the classic 714...


Anyway, my blue gradients were very slightly a bit too blue anyway, so with it not being the exact frame either, super accuracy didn't seem to really matter at that point!!!
I suppose then, they are somewhere between RDJ and Steve McQueen...


Speaking of Persol's, also grabbed some 3225's (Re-issues of the classic 69233's in Cocktail, mentioned earlier in the thread)...


Also picked up some mega bargain OP Copter's, but in brushed gold not silver.
Not really sure what to do with these yet, don't know how the gold would look with purple gradients in

I bought the last two of Jason's lenses. But the lens was scratched and he made a new one and replaced it, but the colors and curves are a little different. Maybe he will always make it, but maybe the curve is different than the old type. I finally have one of the two lenses fitted with a scratched lens. The colors and curves are good. If you are ordering a new one, be sure to order the lens curve.

You can indeed get them from Jason, but more recently we found out that Tanya Howard from Prop Specs (who make lenses for Marvel for 6 years) can sell 100% accurate lenses if you contact her (you can ask her on Instagram), though the ones I got from Jason are perfect, I recommend you to ask Tanya, then you’ll be able to say you got your lenses from Marvel’s lens maker and that’s pretty cool
