Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

Following on with a previous post theme of "movie eyewear turned personal pair" - (or vice versa), like the recently posted IM1 OP Corsair's...

...These have gotta be the IM2 red and black checker Fulton's...(surely!?!)...

Can't quite 100% make out the checker pattern, but the black section (which is only on the 1st issue versions) next to the chrome "Von Zipper" arm logo, seems to be just visible??...

PlastX is my go-to for light polish work on plastic or musical instruments and delicate furniture. It's low abrasive enough to use on true french-polished shellac. Apply with one cloth, buff with a clean one.

Armani AR7049 have finally had their custom pink lenses completed.

I was very happy with the result. Really nice frames which look great on!
I gotta get a new prescription, it's the only thing holding me back on those!

I just received my storm grey Bernardo's, finally found at a price I could accept...

Nice. Bernados are so classy, the storm grey version is real nice!

I was doubly happy with the Armani as I missed out on them around this time last year!

The only headache I'm having at the moment is trying to choose the eyewear for my vacation in May. Lol.
There are some wonderful frames which will not make it into the travel case.

Many of the, IMHO, classier Oliver Peoples frames are vintage tributes. I'm thinking the Bernardo is a 1950's design. What could it's ancestor be? Any ideas on who first made this shape?
I completely agree. The same can be said of Paul Smith and Cutler and gross.

Any of the Cortlands, C & G 1306 03, Oliver Peoples Isba, Bernado would also look at home in the 60s - think the Italian Job and the like.

I love those classy, classic frames

I mean Bernardo is a wayfarer of course, but quite squared at the bottom corners, a shape I associate with Persol, but I don't know if they originated it. Of course it's possible no one knows now, like with the "Cary Grant" frame.

Oh, I found some Prada VPR 60R...I like them more in person than I thought I would from pictures actually.

And I found the right glasses for John Hammond from Jurassic Park, in a slight color variation for $30 so I figured why not?

Found some Persol 2724-S 460/3B...

20220325_150223.jpg 20220325_150642.jpg 20220325_151418.jpg 20220325_150556.jpg 20220325_151355.jpg 20220325_150523.jpg

From the previous page (p.281), it was hard to establish from the "frame only" images I found of the 460/3B, if this colour code had the glitter effect seen in the images that Schlegel kindly posted.
Now, being able to inspect an actual pair, the glitter effect is indeed there, embedded in the translucent blue frame front and also in the purple temple arms. The glitter effect is only visible at certain angles and comes alive when the light catches it!!...

One thing I will say though, the 2724-S is supposedly a "ladies small frame" and is apparently available in both 52mm and 55mm.
Mine are 55mm and are pretty near to the limit of being small. That said, this is the deliberate style of these things. The smaller overall width due the 16mm bridge size.
IMO the 52 would be really very small (probably similar to tiny reading glasses), so you may need to consider the size if you come across a pair in your searches. I would recommend the 55mm, as looking at RDJ's pair, they would most certainly have to be the 55's too.
