BondtoStark and I have had many, many conversations about this very topic and he always reminds me to NOT take my Bromley or Concept 2s or other rare frames in case of any unfortunate incident that could happen. He and I have debated for hours on which frame to take for specific times of the day/night and events. I put more effort into my vacation frames than anything else in the actual trip.I recently had a similar holiday eyewear conundrum!!
In the end, I based my selections on the least rare and/or least expensive.
I thought of how cool the resulting holiday pics would look with my favorite rare and most expensive frames, but then thought of how careful I ultimately would be after some obligatory holiday cocktails!!
Accidentally damaging a rare or expensive frame would really put an unwanted dent in any holiday!!
Unless you are RDJ of course, the nonchalance of wearing Matsuda M3023 at the beach!! (giomentioned this a while back, Lol)

I reckon I've written my list for eyewear 6 or 7 times already. My wife and I don't go until late May Lol there's time for many more changes of mindBondtoStark and I have had many, many conversations about this very topic and he always reminds me to NOT take my Bromley or Concept 2s or other rare frames in case of any unfortunate incident that could happen. "Spain without the S" LOLApologies for another picture intense long non-eyewear related post!!
I recently bought an "RDJ" Pelican case.
I did have a few early DIY attempts at smaller Pelican case replicas...

These waterproof, shockproof and airtight cases with foam inserts were used a lot apparently as lunchboxes on set..

...And the cases went from lunchbox innovation to being a cutting edge staple fashion accessory and a rather unique man bag in a few different sizes (what the "33" sticker signifies is anyone's guess, I'd love to know BTW)...

Reportedly, when asked what he keeps in his cases he joked "I usually have vitamins, smart phones, credit cards, tasers, and daffodils".
He also gave out these customized Pelican cases to the Avengers cast and crew as a nice thank you gift...

Naihanchi, as we all agree damaging any frames on holiday would be Spain without the S, maybe this could be the answer to safely and securely carrying around a whole days worth of eyewear whilst on holiday, practical but with that unique stylish RDJ touch.
Looks like I'm amassing a bit of an RDJ luggage collection...

Great minds think alike!!"Spain without the S" LOL
Funnily enough I've actually paid extra to guarantee taking a 10kg case on board the flight with me rather than it possibly having to go in the hold with the other luggage.![]()
Looking again at these frames, I think you could be spot on with GLCO Palladiums.not easy to id from this picture but these could be garrett leight, maybe palladium sun?

Are you not tight with the 52 size matsuda3023?unfortunately I don’t have the two frames you mentioned, but as a “big frame guy” as I am, I can tell you that though I obviously prefer the 57, 52 are comfortable and not tight at all to wear
no because being not an acetate frame they don’t tend to push on the side, but of course it is a personal impression. maybe some of the others can share their thoughts too. as I said, I can wear them for a reasonable amount of time without feeling the stress, as it happens instead with other frames in that size. Are you not tight with the 52 size matsuda3023?
