Can't find Tony Stark's sunglasses from Iron Man 3

in total abstinence from trying to identify and track down new rdj frames in suspicious websites, I managed to find a pair of blue tom ford johnsons in india.

I like the frame (I have the movie version and the black ones too), I really like the color and let's drop the charade, I also did it because finding them in india after a long reverse search on google was a good story to tell.

From the premiere of Happy Feet- Corsairs but not Crimson! I think it was one of the stock lens colors, Could These be Tony Stark frames before getting customized? He did wear his own glasses in a number of non-critical scenes over the years.

I'm looking for a movie version still if you saw any of those...

Here is a new old pair from 2005-
Persol 2724 I think ? in a wild color with imbedded sparkle glitter
Limited edition I suppose, as I've never seen this color in Persols before.

If you are ok with tort there are a couple reasonably priced 2724 on the secondary market. I picked up one with bad lenses for $20. Fine since I need Rx.

I just remembered after seeing your post, I had found a few images of what are probably the IM1 Corsairs being worn out and about...

Like the way the thought went into matching them up with the red fish in the hat

Not bad for $31.... kind of a Euro-villain look. Remember that period when all the Hollywood bad guys had narrow lenses?

Although they are small, they don't come across quite as small as I thought they would. The frame adds some width at the hinges.

I just may have tracked down a pair of sea gray Cortlands! Probably 3-4 weeks to find out if I was truly successful. And I was really trying to set aside money for a pair of Johnsons, but....

Probably the best bang for the buck I'm going to see for a long time... $15 for these lensless Garrett Leight Westminsters!
They are nearly identical in shape to NDG-1s if you like those. 98% identical to be precise, as the lenses are 49mm to the 50mm of the NDG-1.

Well that was faster than I expected! So they are smoke grey, not sea gray... I can live with that. Polarized lenses are nearly matched to the frame color. Unsure If I want to get Rx in the same shade or just a very light gray... leaning to the latter.

Looks like my theory (educated guess!!) on the Polaroid PLD6111/s 7ZJ (UC) (gloss black frame/green lens) from p.279 turned out to be right...;)
