Building the Sandcrawler

Re: New challenge...Sandcrawler

Beautiful model, Eric. Are you using all original kit parts? Amazing build, your proportions look very nice!

Re: New challenge...Sandcrawler

You are very talented.

What are the large silver blower tubes on the back of the sandcrawler?

Re: New challenge...Sandcrawler

Julien,

Thanks for your reply and I still need to indetify a buch of donor parts:cry

Lee,

The praise is too much for me.
And I like the weathered painting verion than unpainted :)

Allan,

Long time no see :)
Yep. So far, I used most original kit parts excluding casting for Centurion part.

Hi Stormy320,

Thanks for your interest on this post and the part was used from Airfix 1/24 Harrier.

contec,

Thanks for your answer. The answer was exactly.:thumbsup

Re: New challenge...Sandcrawler

Hi!
Your sandcrawler will be Rc or only static?
because, I have 2 Tamiya sherman kits and I have the silicond molds molds to make copies!
may be I can help you with the tracks!
:)

Re: New challenge...Sandcrawler

My word Eric, your work makes me one very envious fellow, so clean, she's looking better and better with each update sir!

Re: New challenge...Sandcrawler

Haha no way Eric, compared to you, im a hack lol. As for the Transport, well she's kinda taking a break from my hamfisted attempts, trying to work on the Snowspeeder, and then ill be working slowly on the TIE bomber and maybe Ion cannon....so ill be juggling a few builds for a while now....which sounds kinda fun, but ill be getting some more done on the Transport before May...as ill be taking it, and a few others to a small show here in the UK.

Re: New challenge...Sandcrawler

I have no words to describe how amazed and impressed I am with this model. Every time I think we're at the apex of studio scale builds, you guys readjust the bar higher and higher. I'm so inspired!!!

Re: New challenge...Sandcrawler

I second Jason's comments. That's just beautiful work....

Re: New challenge...Sandcrawler

Unbelievable Eric, with each update I'm just gobsmacked with this build and the speed at which your'e working at. How's the running gear and Sherman hunting going or is that all taken care of?.

Re: New challenge...Sandcrawler

Thanks Friends:)

Your comments are overpraised for me...!!!

Hey experts for R/C...

I'm just planning to apply the actual Sherman's R/C motors in the rear caterpillars to operate the R/C~!
I wonder if the full model can be operated by only two motors in the rear track? If you have any idea, please advice me know...:rolleyes

thanks Eric.

Re: New challenge...Sandcrawler

Absolutely incredible work. I cannot say enough about this build. You are the master!!!!

Re: New challenge...Sandcrawler

You're the man Eric !

Your crawler is beautiful, too bad it costs too much in donor kits because it would be worth to let one those unpainted !

Im really happy you're going to make it R/C !

just thought of you yesterday, eric.
was at a model swap/contest and saw the tamiya barricade kit (with the little pyramids for the front of the 'crawler). such cute little details. wanted to buy them (just in case) but with less cash to spare, i declined.

stunning work. soooooo clean.
