Building the Sandcrawler

Sorry, but i still love it RC or not, and, if your not going to really use the RC, whats the point...really? I mean, look at the cost of just one Sherman kit.

Keep going Eric, she's so beautiful, and your scratched bogies look fantastic......oh and hey, have you thought of having the links cut on a vinyl plotter? That would take just one drawing, to cut as many as you need in styrene?

This time, I dont agree !! That's modeling, and modeling is useless ! :lol I mean who use their AT-ST's, Taun-Taun to do stop-motion ? They would have cost less money if not fully poseable.

The point is that in any case Eric needs 4 Shermans for the Crawler so... when you've spent several thousand of dollars in donor kits, I think it is worth it to spend a couple more dollars to buy some gears. You can have all the stuff for less than $100, seriously what's the deal ? The R/C system is in the kits.

That's true it will be amazing if only static, but even more awesome if R/C. Even if he doesnt run it :)

As for the tracks being made by a vinyl plotter, I dont think that's a good idea as the styrene woould be too thick, and because of their shape you couldnt snap them if the styrene is only scribbed.

Whatever you do Eric, your crawler will be awesome, I cant wait the paint !

Thank you very much all of my friend~!

Eventually, I decided to change my project from static model to R/C model.
But I need more time and cost to finish as you knwo :)

Hey friend~!

In parallel, I'm also finding the donor kits...Please let me know, if you have any information for the parts?

Eric youve done & are doing just a fantastic job mate. I agree it would be better to go the whole deal since youve come this far. You are one of a many extremely talented modelers thats work & openess of sharing is so appreciated. Keep it comin mate.:)

I love this build so far - had to drag my old rc sandcrawler toy out to play with again after all these years (Lost the remote control :( Great Work!

Thanks for yours reply and interesting.

For last weekend, I finished some test to apply R/C...

Coming sooo~n with the full function R/C Sandcrawler.

thanks Eric.

Wow that's the coolest model I've ever seen Eric !
I wish I could see it in person someday, thanks for sharing those pics, you're a top notch builder my friend ! :thumbsup

OMG!!. That is just incredible Eric. The size of the sandcrawler blows me away too, judging by the size of your furniture to the model on the floor.
Just stunning dude, well worth all the trouble going to full RC, you must be a very proud chap Eric?.
Awesome:love

jaw dropping. i really hope you get the tingly sensation from watching it move and turn that i do and it was worth your extra effort. its one thing to make a model...but a total higher level to make it articulate....then a even further higher level to make it move remotely on command. got a feeling i'll be watching this vid a couple times.

any chance you could show the video at a lower level....to get the actual "movie screen" feel?

i hope you don't get too ballsy and take it outside...especially in sand. no telling what could accidentally happen.

again. congratulations!

Simply stunning, but Eric you really need some RC practice lol, then again, being an ex racer, id get too hot headed with it, and maybe flip it, so caution is probably better.......shes fantastic buddy, you must be so proud!
