I've done what I can do take as many photos along the way as possible. I've a fair few templates scanned in which I'll try to post up this evening. They make most of the parts a lot clearer as to what I have been doing. Even with them though, a lot of it is just sanding, cutting and gluing until it looks the way you want it.

Thats about as badass as that gets for a budget build. Props to you my man for creative craftmanship.

This is all the templates I have kept so far. It doesn't cover everything and everything needs tweaked and tailored to suit. Some parts I just marked sraight onto the Foamex so there is no template as such. I'm 6 foot and 13 stone so everything is scaled to fit me. Print at 200dpi to keep sizes the same. If you follow the photos I've taken along the way, it should be apparent what part is what. I have Photoshopp PSD files for some of the larger parts with everything broken into layers to help you know what's what. Leave a PM if you want me to email me these to you. For the back pack I'd suggest printing 3 copies and working out for yourslef what sections should make up each layer.

dude that is awsome, thank you

though i would just kinda like to know how you got the gauntlets to stay rolled up after you cut them out, and what kind of glue you used that was so well hidden with the sanding

thanx,
-zach

that is great

The Foamex becomes soft and flexible when you heat it up and holds is shape when it cool. You just have to get the shape as you want it before it coold and it will stay there. I've used formers wherever possible as moulding with your hands tends to leave it warped and uneven.

I'm using a contact ashesive that is supposed to be a replacement for using nails. It smooths out easy and sets hard as stone. Does mean you have to wait a day before sanding and finishing but it's the easiest method I have come up with for joing edges and smoothing the joins on this stuff.

After a few failed attempts at making the claymores, I had a go at a cannon instead. It was hard going too but I'm happy how it came out.

Started off making the basic barrel shape from 3 pieces. I used a former to hold the shape whilst the glue set.

Next I curved another piece over an old tin to get the curved bottom.

Next I marked the recessed channels on the sides and made templates for the sides and sliding piece at the front.

I cut the aforementioned pieces out and used the heat gun to bend the front sliding part round the barrel. A good tip I have worked out is to cut a V into the reverse of any atraight folds you make, it stops the edge bowing out and makes the fold sharper.

Next was the round end. I cut two discs and also a long strip to form the basic tub. I used a bottle of vinegar as the former and simply heated the strip and bend it round the bottle, careful to keep it parallel.

I printed out a template for the grooves on the round tube and stuck it in place. I cut every one of the grooves out with a scalpel then marked the area with a pen. The next task was Dremalling all of these out which was soul destroying but needs must.

I Dremelled the rest of the detail on to the sides and then added a few pieces to the front for the nozzle and on the underside. The hardest part was the curved piece on top. It was eventually made from a small length of Foamex formed round half a tube of Maltesers then pushing and pinched one end until it looked right. It took a while and was hard to get a flat base but go there in the end. I cut the holes where the Pred symbols how through and heated another strip of Foames to fill the spce underneath.

One Predator Wolf Style Cannon done...and one to go. Not bad for what material wise has cost about £3.

this work is awesome iv had a go my self today with sintra your abs as see call it making some bicep armour for my clonetrooper build it really cool stuff to work with or thow i burnt my self twice lol awesome work cant wait to see a update

**** thats awesome! If you made one and sold it - I'd be interested...

It costs next to nothing to make all this stuff but there are serious hours going into it. The cannon was a third attempt. tried different ways of making the barrel through bending one piece but all failed. Worst thing is the that Wolf stole one from his fallen chum so I have to make another! I've at least it started now so shouldn't take anywhere near as long as I know exactly how to do it. SLowest part is having to let the glue/filler set before sanding. Hopefully get the second one finished by Sunday night.

SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT.

cannon looks awesome, you should defo consider making a mold from those , could help fund your build .

love seeing scratch built stuff, whether it be clay, plastic, bog roll or chewing gum :p

Would require a bit more finesse up close and I'm more likely to wreck it than mould it! Besides which, having taken ownership of a fine Usurper Wolf mask in the last week, the budget has kind of gone out the window!

lookin good man lookin forward to final product. and i dunno if you said this somewhere along the line but what is your skin suit going to be?

Haven't worked that part out yet, won't be anything latex though. I sweat in cold climates so wearing a latex suit would kill me. It's going to be last on the list as it's probably the hardest part to work out.
