Limited Run [BRRogers/Verity Cosplay/7 Chambers] "Mom of All Heroes" ORDERING

What kind of finishing is required for this? Is it just assembly? Or are there chemical treatments/painting that needs to happen?

I’d reference the Halliwax (anakin starkiller Hero finishing tutorial) thread at the moment for prepping and painting as the techniques and colors will be virtually identical aside from the fact that the canoe is made of beryllium copper and the grenade section is pre-anodized.

The only addition I might make is that the copper canoe can be chemically darkened prior to painting so one might consider that to create some depth of color through patina or patina-ing the rails themselves prior to taping and painting.
I also personally keep opting to add copper film tape to my rails on top of the bright copper because I like the texture it has and still wonder if they used that for the original

used no paint, just played with patina and tried to get a relic look and texture to the neck and rails and tri ring

Was curious too...I have brass black that could be used but was intrigued by the pitting and if that was intentional or accidental. Either was looks good. Also curious on how you darkened the tri-ring...possibly a viagra-based darkening solution? ;)

that looks fantastic!!!! What did you do?
Thank you very much !. i do a lot of electroplating and iron wool and heat tempering with different oils. So, i have a process i repeat until it looks the way i want it to. electroplate first, lightly iron wool, electroplate again, lightly iron wool then rub a very special kind of oil on it..lol and heat it until it turns the color i want then immediately cool. (this is the condensed version) *** you would have to know how to electroplate and use the right voltage to get best outcome. The neck was a special trick...lol

no brass black, i copper electroplated it (Tri Ring)after scrubbing and sanding and then heated my special oil on it to give it a rusty dark look..The neck was a special technique...lol, so i love to electroplate. Once you have your copper electrolyte you can use the solution to electroplate stuff(not aluminum...must be nickel plated 1st). So all i did was use the copper neck as the anode on the red side and used it to copperplate my rail canoe on the black side at 18v...I killed 2 birds with 1 stone...copper plated my rails and it oxidized my neck to the point of pitting it. The neck gets dark copper and green and you have to keep iron wooling to get the green off (lightly). Once all the green was off i did it all again. Then i rubbed it lightly with my special oil (sesame oil) lol and heated it. (don't over heat) ***i want to warn people who may be reading this not to attempt it unless you know what you are doing. If you attempt this and do not understand and harm yourself or ruin your hilt, don't blame me...i warned you. Take the time to learn it. Use safety equipment and do it in a ventilated area. PSA
